These were a good value, unless you plan on quitting your shooting hobby, go for the bulk pack. It represents the best value for your money. These work well for oiling the bore and for passing solvent through it as well. However they are no substitute for a good quality (Hoppes) cleaning swab for getting out all of the solvent while cleaning.Pros: Pre-cut for convenienceCons: no substitute for a swab at removing excess solvent

These patches work great in a 22 caliber to 243. If you use them in 270 and above you need to double up. But still they are a great value for the price – I'll be ordering some morePros: Work well in smaller caliber, price pointCons: Have to double up for caliber listed

I chose the size based on the caliber of the gun. However, the patches seem a little on the small size. I probably could have used the next size up, but I went by the size shown on the package. Otherwise they work fine.Pros: price, quantity, materialCons: size

I got the 22 cal pack. It's reasonably priced and I felt that they did a good job cleaning my AR barrel. I usually use old white t-shirt patches but ran out of them and these work pretty much the same. I did have to use two at a time with my cleaning rod to get a tight / scrubbing fit.

The manufacturer has changed the 500 count bulk pack 1204S from synthetic patches (which I loved) to their cotton patches (which I hate). I emailed the manufacturer and the guy I talked to was oblivious to the change. The only way to get synthetic patches now, is in the 40 count package (1204). The cotton patches leave lint everywhere and are not very absorbent. The synthetic patches never had these issues.
