I put this on a Daystate Regal XL and I love it. It is as clear as the best Leupold scopes I have at less than half the price. It is very clear and tracks perfectly. You will never find a better bargain in great optics. This is my second Hawke scope. I also have the Hawke Sidewinder 6.5-20X42 on my Air Arms TX200. These scopes are a bargain for the outstanding quality they offer.

Pros:*Scope works well on my Beeman R9 spring piston air rifle having good optics. This scope doesn't shift the point of impact laterally when focusing from 50 yards and the refocusing at 10 yards like the older 4-12×40 Hawke Airmax I owned.*1" tube scope has a more favourable size and weight compared to my other 30mm tube 3-12×44 scope and the image is clear and bright.Cons:*Adjusting the elevation when zeroing the scope seems to also affect the windage a bit and visa-versa. Not a biggie for me because I only use "holdover aiming" and once the zero is set I don't need further clicking.*The AO is very stiff turning making it a bit of a chore to quickly focus the scope when scope rangefinding during hunter class field target matches. Both Pro & Con:*"Pro" that the scope doesn't have the added complexity and weight of a lighted reticle which I prefer, however the unlighted thin etched glass reticle tends to get lost when aiming at dark targets in a shaded areas. At a recent field target match however the reticle was adequate for all but a couple dark faced targets placed in a deeply shaded area.

Since my interest sparked in giving thought to an air gun after many years hunting with center fires. As well having no idea in what to look for as far as air gun product lines, calibers, scopes and accessories. Like many of my endeavors I do my research first fine tuning it down in looking for quality, value and in studying reviews products that best fit my needs. Thus I was not left disappointed with my new "Hawke EV 4-12X50 AO" I enjoy target shooting as well hunting the best of both. The quality surpasses anything I've previously owned.
