The part was easy to install on my mossberg 500. The only tool I needed even came with part. I have to change out the stock and the shotgun will be good to go. I have used parts from the same company before and I have never been unhappy with their products.

Very nice forend, as I expected from Magpul, but I bought it for the new Mossberg 590A1 Shockwave, and it does not fit. This info is on the Magpul website, but unfortunately I did not consult the manufacturer's website. I only read the description and the reviews on Optics Planet. I guess I'll put it on one of my other Mossberg shotguns.

I ordered 2 handguards to upgrade a pair of model 500s. The items were received quickly in true optics planet fashion. The handguards were exactly what I expected. They offer great texture compared to the stock handguards and offer mlok compatibility. They are easy to install as all tools were included. Installation too about 10 minutes. The new handguards for tight and don't rattle. The only warning is if you use a heat shield the heat shield with require some fitting. I had to carefully curve the lower edges to make it for.

Put this on a Mossberg 500 with a heatshield, works great! Did have to modify the heat shield a bit, simply used a mouse pad and vice and squeesed the edges in so the forend would clear. worked great.

People will say that this does not fit the shockwave. Contrary to popular belief, this will indeed fit on the 590 shockwave, you just have to file down some edges so that it will function properly. Otherwise you can pay double the price for the same thing but pre-cut/modified by other companies. But this is a super cheap and easy fix if you are not willing to pay extra for a service that you can easily do your self.

Another home run for magpul. This forend is awesome. Looks good and feels great. Highly recommended I got black but would look good in any color. Adds some decent grip and a little extra length . I mounted a light with the optional rails. Super easy to install and comes with a castle nut tool. No extra tools needed. All I can say is buy it and you will not regret your purchase.
