Strike Industries AR Enhanced Castle Nut & Extended End Plate
$62.16
Introducing the TRIBUS Enhanced Anti-Rotation Castle Nut & Extended End Plate. The TRIBUS is next iteration of their previous AR-ECN&EEP. New features include two addition QD mounting points added to the left & right side of the extended end plate. Totaling in 3 QD mounting points. The extended end plate’s QD mounts are pushed back away from the webbing of the primary hand, allowing for better weapon manipulations in tight spaced and under stress without the startling pain that can result from a pinched hand when using a sling attached to a standard, flat QD end plate. Another big improvement is the added anti-rotation castle nut feature. Once installed, use the set screw to prevent the castle nut from backing out during weapon usage. The TRIBUS is available in their anodized color line. I like the red Extended End Plate. It balances the other red parts I have on this AR pistol. However, I had to use my standard Castle Nut instead of the Extended because I have a Phase 5 buffer tube and the Enhanced Castle Nut would not slide back far enough to thread the buffer tube on the lower receiver. The Phase 5 tube is shaped differently than a standard buffer tube. I was able to install it fine this way but without the look of the SI Castle Nut.

The castle nut is a slight different black color then the end plate, it is not coated with the same gloss look. Its more of a matte look and seems like will scratch a lot easier. I also have the Strike Ind. buffer tube in black which matches this end plate color but again not the nut its self, hope it all looks fine when my Aero upper arrives soon and that i didnt get a runt of the batch. hope this helps for someone that's very particular. Close but no 5 star cigar!

First the warning to potential buyers. This product calls for specific thread length on the buffer tube. Not buffer tube length but the length of the threading on the tube where it mates with the lower receiver. This is because of the extra space the castle nut requires. I assumed a Geissele buffer tube would work and I was wrong. This is a very well made product and functions as claimed and I highly recommend this product. Just hoping this saves a novice like me some headache.

Great upgrade for your rifle/ pistol. Make sure you know how long your castle nut threads are though. I had to get a new tube to accommodate but it was well worth the money spent. Looking to buy more for my other rifles.

The length of the castle nut causes problems. It needs to be threaded way down the buffer tube or end plate won't won't allow the buffer tube to catch the retaining pin. It wouldn't thread far enough on my Aero tube. I brought it to a gunsmith and he looked at some of his tubes as well. the only one that will work is a buffer tube that has no flat space after the threads. Looking around, only one tube fit the bill, the Strike Industries buffer tube. So, it seems like, dropping $59 on a castle nut and plate wasn't enough, you'd have to buy SI Buffer Tube for another $59I returned it..this is getting too much.

I think it’s great the color scheme matches what I was going for and makes the weapon system look great.
