Great value, tracks well. Glass is clear and reticle is super functional. Second focal plane is the way to go. The zero stop is extremely simple and functional. 30 mm tube is the minimal size for adequate elevation and windage by todays standards. Truly a good scope at a good price.

Bought this scope for my 6.5 creedmoor and wow this scope is clear. Tracks true and clear up to max zoom. I have shot up to 600 yards and felt like I could shoot further with my setup. Will definitely buy another.

I put this scope on a varmint .223 build. I absolutely love it. The reticle is nice and thin, perfect for target shooting and varmint hunting. At 100 yards I can easily center the reticle on a 1/4 dot on only 15x. Any other scope I own would cover that dot or not have a clear enough picture to see it. The glass seems very clear, especially for a $500 scope. Compared to my Nikon FX1000 6-24×50 this has better clarity. Eye relief is pretty forgiving. Turret clicks are very nice and solid, this is something Im picky about, you wont be disappointed with these turrets. My biggest complaint is that I had to buy a sunshade and scope covers separately. Scopes should include lense covers.

Overall decent value for the money. It holds zero, glass is ok, descent in hunting but glass could be more clear. Setting the zero stops is an absolute pita. It took a valuable hour of range time to complete. Scope just lives of my tikka ctr 6.5 and tgats fine. I went to change the battery and no f-ing way that is going to happen. Tried with channel locks and crescent and it turms but does want to come off. I gave up b/c do not want to destroy scope.

I recently bought my first Athlon scope and installed on a Howa 308 24 inch carbon wrapped action. I then decided that I have the same Howa action in 6.5 Creedmoor and I wanted a little more magnification, so I went with this one. I got to tell you, I have been shooting for a good many years and these scopes are one of if not the best priced scopes on the market and have very, very good glass. When you get old like me, you need clear glass with little distortion around the edges. Turrets have distinct clicks and it holds zero. I'll be buying more Athlon scopes for future projects.
