I purchased this Athlon Optics Talos Red Dot for my Springfield Hellcat FDE OSP & I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget friendly red dot. Crisp, clear window, red dot automatically adjusts to lighting conditions. I have had his red dot for 3 months now and the original battery is still running strong. The dust cover is nice to have with it as this model has no "on/off" button. Definitely follow the instructions & use a bore sight first out of the box, followed by at least three shot groups at 10/15/20 yards. Fits like a glove, easy installation & very durable on the Springfield Hellcat. Only downside is the battery is located on the bottom, however this shouldn't be too big of an issue as the battery life is very long.

Bought this for my Springfield Hellcat FDE OSP and could not be happier! Great red dot for the price and the auto adjust is the best I have seen.Highly recommend

Within the first 10 rounds this optic malfunctioned. The red dot will intermittently dissappear after firing a round and then reappear after firing another round. This behavior was consistent across ~150 rounds.

I just got a G43X MOS, and wanted to look around for an affordable optic that I can get familiar with and upgrade later if needed. I was already really skeptical just by the low price of the Athlon Talos and could only find one review on YouTube. The review was decently in-depth and even put it as a mid-tier for EDC optics. So, I bit the bullet and said, "why not" and got it.The Talos is super light and is either made of a high-grade plastic or polymer, still keeping my skepticism on high. Right out of the box it worked, I checked basic functions, and it worked as advertised, the dot intensity lowers in low light and heightens in brighter and does it very effectively. No flickering or failure through multiple checks and the dot is visible and pretty crisp. I read through the manual and my only issue (which was a big one), there's no sighting directions for windage or elevation on either the manual or the optic. I checked their website and same as the printed version, a very big oversight and should be corrected immediately but this shouldn't be hard to manage.Range Test: Zeroing took quite a few extra rounds to figure out the Wind/Elevation, but I got it there. Once sighted in, I shot about 100 rounds and it kept pretty good grouping throughout. Took a break and came back for another 100 rounds and it was still working, still zeroed the grouping was still good. If Athlos wants to send me a free Talos, I'll gladly torture test it and post it. I've been using this for my daily EDC and I have no complaints so far. Overall I would say it's a good, simple optic and I like it just as much as my Romeo on my P320.
