It has no lens and no control buttons and when it's not attached to the scope most friends ask what it is. It is recoil resistant, no need to rezero between shooting session. And it has several adapters for various lenses (i'm using xsight 4k now but if i ever afford a thermal scope it's a strong argument for choosing atn again).

ATN LASER BALLISTICI was told that I needed this piece and how accurate it was. I am so glad that I have invested the money into this piece. I'm also glad with the help of Faris Oran that my rifle is complete now and I couldnt do it without his help and guidance. (15)

This is the best thing that I added to my scope. Makes ranging so much easier. Such a time saver rather than knowing the height of you target. Had a couple issues in the beginning but Ross at ATN helped me out.

Cuts a lot of time and the chance of error for long range pellet drop. Unit did stop working and after contacting ATN, they are having me RMA it back to them for a replacement. Without it you need to range with a hand held unit and then manually input the results.

Very pleased with this ABL. Faster and more accessible than the hand held range finder. Absolutely love it, it is accurate and very fast taking readings. Be sure to calibrate the laser at least from 40 yards because it does have some movement if you calibrate at 10 or 15 yards. I would highly recommend it.

I bought the ABL1500 for my X-sight II HD, so this review centers on it use with it.I received the ABL1500 right before the end of the year. At first, I thought there was a problem, but after talking to ATN it turned out to just be bad instructions. There were several errors in the first version of the instructions; showed you how to insert the battery upside down, told you to pair with a range finder rather than an ABL, and left you to believe you pressed and held the blue tooth button till it paired (you just tap the button, which is what got me). After getting past the instruction issues it all works perfectly. You use the red laser built into to it to line up the range finder reticle. You must be in a fairly low light environment to see the red dot, but if you wait until after sunset and have the scope in night time mode you can actually see the laser painting the target when you tell it to find the range. I used this to readjust the zero on the ABL so I know it is dead on, the laser light is centered on the range finder reticle, the red laser was a little off. At night I don't pay much attention to the reticle, I just keep the laser on the target. To operate it switch it on, you see the blue tooth symbol go solid, tap the scope’s power button and the range finder reticle comes up. The reticle is a big X with sort of a circle at the center so there is no confusing it with the sighting reticle. Hold the range finder reticle on the target for about 5 seconds, then the range finder reticle goes away the sighting reticle resets and you can see the range on the upper left corner of the scope’s display. I cannot image a simpler way to do this. I checked the range that was reported against my Leopold Gold range finder and they agree to within 1 yard.On my X-Sight II it was necessary to mount the ABL vertically rather than on the left side so that it would not block the illuminator. Turns out it is easier to put the rifle in a hard side case this way, but the ATN logo is upside down. The only issue I have is that with the ABL in place it is impossible to put on or take off the day time aperture (which you really need to use in sunlight). My fix for this was to 3-D print a cap that snaps into the end of the ABL tube that has the reduced aperture in it. If you play around with the original aperture you will see that you can put it in either end of the sun shade and the results look the same. So, my snap in part is actually easier to use than the original part. ATN needs to make a part to address this.
