I upgraded from the 2.5x version and couldn't be happier! While the 2.5x version was good for 150yards and in, the resolution this offers at further distances is fantastic! I wasn't sure I purchased the correct magnification for my needs the first time around, but Jacob with ATN offered his FANTASTIC customer service. He allowed me to upgrade and the entire process was quick, easy and painless! I highly recommend their products, and ask for Jacob for the best sales and support possible!

I used to go night hunting all the time with lights, then got a 4kpro 5-20 and thought that was amazing. i have always wanted thermal, and finally got one, holy s$#t this is a total game changer! amazing detail and can see animals way before they have a chance to see me or my hunting buddies. i set this up on a tripod and can scan with it as well as shoot with it. if you've been on the fence to get one, i will be one of many to tell you to jump and get at least one! you wont be dissapointed!

I have been a long time acid fan of ATN. I have owned the X-sight, X-sight II, and just added the ATN Thor 4 to line up. I have not had any issues with my scope (you MUST install the latest firmware update). I love that I can switch this scope from my AR-15 to my Ruger 10-22 to my Tikka T3 lite 270 and the scope saves each rifles zero so there is no need to re-sight in the scope. Sighting in this scope is a breeze with its 1 shot zeroing function. I love the ballistic calculator which allows me to enter the distance of my target and the scope adjusts the cross hairs for me. This is a Thermal scope and unlike the X-sight series, no IR light is needed for night hunting. This past season I was sitting in my blind and I could not see more than 20 to 30 yards with the thick fog, little less my feeder sitting 150 yards away. I picked up my rifle and looked through my ATN THOR 4 scope and the fog disappeared (fog was still there, just did not affect the functionality of the scope) there were two deer eating under the feeder. This scope is truly a game changer, I no longer use green night lights to hunt hogs at night, which may or may not scare them off.A fully charged battery lasts me the entire weekend, sitting in the blind several hours, morning, afternoon and evening.

I have mixed feelings about this scope but overall I like it. The good: The image quality is great and the thermal imager is very sensitive. I like being able to record video. The live view streaming to the app is cool for your partner to see what you see in real time. The "one shot zero" function is a very cool feature. The bad: The SD card slot has a rubber cover that does not close if an SD card is inserted, kind of defeats the purpose. The scope is advertised as zooming to 40x however the optical zoom only goes to slightly under 20x. Anything beyond that is digital zoom and gets very grainy when zoomed all the way. Sometimes on recordings, the audio is about a second behind the video. I recently experienced the scope crashing/freezing and there is no obvious way to reboot the scope when this happens. Nothing in the manual covers this either. I tried calling customer service however I never was able to speak to anyone. After letting it sit for about an hour I was able to power it off and reboot it. Overall it is a cool product however for the almost $5k it cost I would expect ot to be flawless and it is far from that.

I absolutely love my ATN thermal scopes—so much so that I own two of them! They're far easier to operate than my Armasight, thanks to their simple and intuitive design. And the customer service? Outstanding! ATN's support blows competitors out of the water.Even with the entry-level model, I’ve successfully taken down pigs. Since upgrading, I’m even more impressed. The picture quality is AMAZING, especially considering the price point. Honestly, it rivals scopes that cost twice as much. The only area for improvement would be performance in high humidity. Like most thermals, this scope struggles a bit during Texas's hot and humid summers, but that’s the nature of the technology.Overall, this is a top-quality scope. Factoring in price, it’s absolutely unbeatable. I’m already eyeing the 1280 for the future! 5 stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have tried the Atn Thor 4 1×10, 2.5×25 and now have the 4×40. All of them had a 640 processor. The 1×10 was very unclear with the 19mm lens compared to the 2.5×25 with the 50 mm lens. There is not much difference in clarity between the 2.5×25 and the 4×40. The lens size on those two scopes are almost the exact same with a difference of 10 mm not 25mm like they claim (50mm-75mm). Both scopes are extremely clear with great eye relief which is the downfall of most thermal or nv scopes. Mounts like a regular scope which was a huge selling point for me. Battery life actually does last over 10 hours like they claim and it is a huge upgrade over not having to buy batteries for it. 2 other guys I hunt with have to use 4 AA batteries for their Atn Thor hd scopes and they are constantly changing them and plugging in the battery pack. The only problem I have right now with this scope is on nights where conditions are not perfect the scope will have a dark spot in the center of the scope which takes up about half of the fov and it’s hard to see heat very clear from a distance. I think Atn calls it ghosting and they said they are working on it. The video function is awesome and a must have for any thermal scope so u can figure out why your missing and how far to put a lead on an animal running
