I recently purchased two of these holsters primarily for my NC conceal carry classes & NRA classes I teach to go with a S&W M&P Shield that I have for students to use in the classes if they do not have a firearm of their own. I opened these and put them together and adjusted the retention w/ for the 9mm Shield and they seem to function as intended. They appear to be good holsters for what they are, and seem to be able to have the functionality and practicality for what I need them for, which is teaching students to draw, present, and fire the firearm, and return to holster during different drills that I run on the range. I will be using them for the first time in my conceal class this coming Saturday, and will have a better idea of how well they work, but just manipulating them at home with dry fire practice, they seem to function as they are intended. I probably wouldn't recommend for a daily carry holster as there are definitely better EDC holsters available, but this will server the purpose for my intention in my classes. Very economical, basic, and practical for my classes as a range time holster for students to use.
