Crimson Trace CT-RAD Pro Reflex 1x 5 MOA Red Dot Sight
$313.95
The CT RAD Pro (Rapid Aiming Dot) Electronic Sight is a full-size Open Reflex Sight for full frame pistols. Featuring a green 5 MOA aiming dot, the CT RAD Pro has a recessed and fully multi-coated lens with a large quick acquisition window. The CT RAD Pro comes with the CT RADIANT Ambient Light Sensor that automatically adjusts the aiming dots brightness to the surrounding lighting condition. The CT MOTION Sensor detects movement of the firearm and automatically turns the reflex sight on. The sight powers off after 2 minutes of zero movement. The CT RAD Pro comes with an AUTO Shutoff Function that automatically shuts off after 8 consecutive hours of operation to conserve battery life and a manual ON/OFF Function that allows you to turn on or off the sight by using the side brightness buttons. The CT RAD Pro is easily installed on an optics cut slide using the CT RAD footprint that is also compatible with the Docter footprint. It also comes with an additional Low Profile Pic Rail to mount your Pro to most any MILSPEC Pic rail. Textured sides allow for a secure grip when racking the slide. The CT RAD Pro has large brightness setting buttons for easy use even with gloves on. Made of 7075 Series Aerospace Aluminum, it is 30% stronger than most industry standard sights made with 6061 Series Aluminum. The entire CT RAD family has an Innovative top strap design that deflects force if the sight is dropped. Our engineers developed a better way to reduce stress on the lens of reflex sights. By combining out-of-the-box thinking with next-level physics, we designed a system that both re-enforces your optic and reduces stress if it happens to get dropped. All this comes with our CRIMSON Protect Lifetime Warranty. I bought this as it was an option regarding for my Springfield Prodigy 2011. Since it already came with red dot base plate, I decided to go with this Green dot. Took a little bit to zero in but once dialed in, the poorman Staccato was hitting steel plates consistently! No issues with Green dot, love the shake and wake feature. Highly recommend to those who have a Prodigy and are on a budget. Thank you

Did you know there are modes for the CT RAD Pro? No? Well, don't blame yourself, because the User Guide makes no mention of it. Apparently, you can turn on/off the Auto function (controls shake awake and ambient brightness) by pressing the + for 5 seconds. When I received my sight, none of the Auto functions worked, so naturally, I assumed something was wrong. I contacted CT Customer Service & explained the issue. I was told to send the sight in, which I did. Shortly after, I was told that there was nothing wrong with the sight and enlightened to the Auto features.WTF? CT sells a product without complete instructions, then when a customer has a problem, the most likely cause of that problem is overlooked, so said customer ends up wasting time and $$ shipping a sight back for a nonexistent problem that could have been avoided if 1) the user guide was complete, and 2) customer service had mentioned that there are modes on this sight that can be switched. Two unbelievably simple solutions, completely missed. The sight itself is fine, as far as I can tell, although I have not been able to test it in actual use because I have had to deal with all this nonsense. So the jury is still out. But CT is a complete fail in their customer service. Don't get me wrong, Customer Service was nice, polite, and tried to be helpful. But this is pretty basic stuff… being able to switch modes is a primary function of the device and it is not mentioned in the User Guide? It's not brought up in CS communications? Fail.
