You get what you pay for! The green laser makes it easier to see during the day as compared to the red. The 100 lumen light rocks. It is very easy to install and to sight in with excellent instructions. Looks great mounted on my Beretta PX4 Storm.

I was looking for a light/laser smaller than the typical 2 battery, CR123 lights that are common. In my opinion they are just too big for regular carry use with handguns. I owned 2 Viridian green laser/lights, and both went back because of circuitry problems. A 5 minute test would drop a battery from 3.25 to 2.90 volts. At 2.87 it starts blinking out. They claim 2 hours. Not a chance. I tested the CT for 5 minutes, and it dropped less than .1 volts. The CT is slightly bigger than the Viridian, but at least it's trustworthy. It also has a much better light. The Viridian has a flat diffuser. The CT has a real optic, which has nice throw, and an actual hot spot. The switch activation on the CT is much better too, and easier to reach than the Viridian. The CT is more expensive, and the price for the Green laser model seems absurd to me. So I went with red and am happy with how bright it is. Outdoor testing with the green Viridian revealed to me that it wasn't really viable for sunny skies. Waiting and looking for the green dot could get you killed. It simply isn't bright enough. When lighting is dim the red laser is just fine. So the CT Red laser model is the one for me. Very happy with it.

Crimson Trace already has a reputation for producing quality lasers in many configurations. The Rail Master Pro works well on my CZ Scorpion carbine providing a good light and green laser in a small neat package. OpticsPlanet had the best price and delivery was fast. Highly recommend both companies for merchandise and service.

This is a great laser/light,very bright light even in a bright room very visible. The lights throw is pretty far and super bright in a open area or In a small room it lights it up very well. see the laser. The light and laser has several functions light only, laser only light and laser and strobe. The laser/light is very compact and can be a very good ccw option if your firearm has a rail.Only thing I see wrong is the laser washes out in bright sunlight, but that is to be expected with a red laser compared to a green one.Put the laser on a dark target and your golden but at grass or something light very hard to see the laser. For the money it's a great laser/light 5 starsPros: Compact, bright flashlight, and has several mode including a strobe featureCons: The red laser washes out in really bright sunlight

After reading several articles about laser's and lighting it appeared that this model was the one to install on my new Beretta 1301 tactical shotgun. I was not disappointed in its ease of use and performance. It mounted easily to the barrel clamp picatinny rail from Nordic. The functions from laser to flaslight to strobe along with laser & flashlight were simple and fast to change between modes. It looks great on my gun and completes the look I was working on with functionality.

I was looking for a compact green laser & light combo for my IWB EDC H & K VP9. Here's my take and why I chose the Crimson Trace Rail Master Pro over the very good Viridian C5L & the very good Streamlight TLR-4G (which I also own). The Crimson Trace has replaced the larger TLR-4G.1) When it comes to the green laser, it's a wash between the 3 units. All are great. The Viridian's green laser does not have the ever so slight hint of a blue tint in the green when compared to the other 2.2) If brightness of the tactical light and not compactness of the unit is more important to you, go with the TLR-4G.3) All 3 have good ergonomic laser & tac light controls for myself. Your personal preference may vary. Again, this is a wash in my book.4) All 3 are easy to attached to my VP9's rail, and all 3 seem to be robust while on my pistol (no wimps here). This is another wash between the 3. However, the TLR-4G is the easiest for "quick on & off,"5) I do prefer the housing design of the Crimson Trace over the Viridian. Along with fewer angles designed in to housing, the tactical light lens, the laser, and the sight adjustment screws are all recessed further into said housing. I believe this design may do a better job of protection in the long run. This not an issue when cleaning of the lenses is necessary.6) Here's a simple thing; I appreciate the design of the supplied laser's screw adjustment wrench. It is slightly longer than others I've seen, and has a nice fob on the end for better tactile feel when making adjustment for wind and elevation.7) I like the "whiter light" from tactical light of the Rail Master Pro. The C5L's is a "softer white," not appearing as bright, but both are 100 lumens. Both tac lights "strobe" equally well for me. But again, I prefer the "whiter" light.
