Not cheap but Optic Planet has the best price. Very easy to use and now I don't have to worry about seeing the sights without reading glasses. Once you've tried these you will be spoiled.Pros: Easy to install & use. Don't need reading glasses to see sights.Cons: Not cheap (but good quality).

My latest gun investment was the installation of Crimson Trace laser grips on my S&W mod. 625, 5 inch .45ACP. This weapon is front-line/at the door protection for my wife and I. I believe, as I have tested this combination, that response time and versatility of accurate fire have been much improved. My wife's confidence has been greatly improved. The installation of the grips went perfectly as you should expect from a Crimson Trace product. The laser came almost perfectly sighted for 25 yards and will of course be sighted for much closer once the specific defense ammo is determined. An expensive but a necessary addition to any firearm that might be fired in low light or off balance defense situations.

nice for home defense and the bad guy knows it.Took the gun to the range and rechecked it with a bore sight when i cleaned it.Was off an inch at 20 feet.Easy to readjust, but just know it will be off some even though i had it spot on with the bore sight before my range time.Pros: fast target acquisition Cons: needs recalibration after firing gun

I have two of these, this one is for my plinker 617 in 22LR. Everything is perfect, but the fact that the sight is off the bore line… If you sight it in for 50 feet, and have to make a shot at 25, you will be off by a few inches, and if shooting at a mouse in the barn, that might make the difference between a hit, and a hole in the wall. Practice and experience will allow you to get past this singular issue. But for personal/home defense at close range, if sighted in for 21 feet, it will be dead on from 10 to 30 feet for sure.Pros: Easy to use, rubber feels greatCons: Laser off of bore line

One does not carry a .357 magnum handgun because it is well suited for conceal carry. You can, but it has some obvious limitations due to its size and weight. You carry a .357 revolver exactly because of it's size, weight, reliability and caliber capabilities. You carry a .357 revolver, as I have for more than 40 years, both on the job and since, because it will do it's job most efficiently, if you do yours. However, as I learned early on in my experience with the weapon, the recoil from even some moderate loads, let alone full house .357 magnum, can be brutal. Especially so now that I am no longer 10 foot tall and bullet proof. I solved the recoil problem back then with Pachmayr grips. They do make a real difference. Then, I got old (damnit) and the 20-15 eyesight I once enjoyed ain't near so much anymore. And along came Crimson Trace laser grips. These answered my diminishing eyesight needs in lesser calibers and I bought a bunch of 'em. No, really. A bunch. I held off getting them for the magnums because I knew the recoil problem I didn't like in my youth would be back with a vengeance in my golden years. I knew I was trading less felt recoil for on target point shoulder shots, but bought them anyway. The Crimson Trace laser grips on my square butt 686 revolvers indeed do compensate for my diminished eyesight, however, they are much more narrow than my Pachmayrs and there is no back strap to them at all. As I expected, they are much less comfortable in heavy recoil than my tried and true Pachmayrs.Seems to me if you made the laser grips with the same materials and comfortable recoil absorbing back strap design of Pachmayrs, you would have the perfect grip and sighting enhancement for my old Clydesdale .357 magnums and my aging hands and eyes.
