EOTech HHS-2 Holographic Hybrid Sight II is an ideal combination of state of the art EOTech tactical gear, optimized for precision accuracy in intense tactical situations at close or medium range. These EO Tech red dot sights combine the high-accuracy optics of the EOTech EXPS2-2 Red Dot Sight and the zoom-enhancing properties of the EOTech G33 Red Dot Magnifier into a single potent reflex sight. The heart of the red dot sight is the EXPS2-2, a highly compact, tactically-oriented red dot sight that features a large ring reticle with two 1-MOA aiming dots. The reflex portion of the EO Tech HHS2 Holographic Hybrid Reflex Sight w/ G33 Magnifier features true two-eyes-open aiming, allowing you to get a full picture of the battlefield while maintaining precision accuracy, and its 7mm raised base allows you to use iron sights even with the red dot sight equipped. EOTech has equipped the EXPS2-2 red dot sight with easy to adjust side illumination buttons, and its transversely mounted 123 lithium battery will rarely need replacement. The EO-Tech Holographic EXPS2-2 Hybrid Magnified Red Dot Sight is also highly versatile, capable of mounting to your weapon with the integrated locking quick detach lever. The EO-Tech HHS-II Holographic Hybrid Magnified Reflex Sight evolves beyond the original red dot sight when you attach the included G33 magnifier. Shorter and lighter than its previous incarnation (the EOTech G23), the EOTech G33 3.25x Red Dot Magnifier is a powerful optic that will boost the power of your red dot sight by 3.25x, enough to add long-range accuracy to the list of features on your reflex sight. Each of these red dot sight accessories features tool-free azimuth adjustment and a wide field of view that won’t diminish the incredibly fast target acquisition capabilities of the EXPS2-2. An easy to adjust diopter allows for precise focus with the EO Tech HHS-2 Hybrid Red Dot Scope w/ G33 Magnifier, no matter the target. What’s more, these EO-Tech red dot sight accessories allow you to switch between 3.25x magnification and 1x magnification at will with the included Switch to Side (STS) mount, which will flip the magnifier to the side of your weapon and out of the way with a single motion, adding even more versatility to your firearm. When you want to combine the precise tactical advantage conferred by the EOTech EXPS series with the long-range firepower of a scope, choose the EOTech HHS-II Hybrid Holographic Sight II with EXPS2-2 Sight and G33 Magnifier. I bought this system from Optic Planet a couple years ago and just got around to mounting it on my New Colt 6940 AR. The reticle exhibits a slight cant and when utilizing the G33 Magnifier the reticle is annoying to see the reticle with emphasized cant. I'm a retired Sheriff's Department Firearms Instructor and I for one expect a Precision Sight Instrument to exhibit no defects. I would expect that Eotech should remedy what appears to be a frequent problem with the sight system. I did check expect all mounting surfaces on the sight and the magnifier and I'm convinced the rail on my rifle is absolutely level.I did send a email off to Eotech and hopefully I'll hear from them as to if I should be sending the sight system to them.

I researched many different red dot sights prior to choosing this package deal. When I took it to the range the first time I was able to install the sight and magnifier with ease and zero in little time and with little effort. The second time I went to the range there were several people admiring it, so I let them give it a try. Everyone was hitting the 300 meter steel target on the first attempt and my Eotech EXPS2-2 and G33 Magnifier was a hit to first time users. While I am still learning new ways to use this combination system, I am impressed with not only the accuracy, but the versatility and especially the price.Pros: Easy to set up and zero. After that very user friendly.Cons: kit should come with cleaning cloth

I bought this for my Tavor SAR B16 and have been quite happy with it. The Tavor is a meaty weapon as it is, and the width of the sight and magnifier is not an issue with this. I have used similar EOTECHs in Afghanistan which is why i bought this for mine own weapon. Also, I prefer holographic over the Aimpoint style sights. After mounting and sighting in the rifle – it just came down to what ammo I fed the weapon. I regularly bullseye 100 yard target with the top dot since I properly sighted the weapon.Pros: Ease of use, quick fix to the rail, magnifier and mount is secures easily and well made. Comes well equipped.Cons: Price

I wanted a little something more out of the magnifier. Also, the reticle is made up of tiny dots that just wasn't clean to look at. It would wash out going from the shadows to bright light.Pros: Clean looking, ease of use, built like a tankCons: the reticle is made up of little laser dots and was distracting. I didn't like the 3x magnification, it needed more!

I wanted to get several range sessions in, and carry around the property before I reviewed my purchase. Not wanting to sound 'tacticool', but I'm a firm believer that the mission dictates the optic. This is for a time none of us want, SHTF. I listened to guys that have been there, done that, and this was their overwhelming recommendation. This optics is incredibly clear, very easy to see the reticle, even in full day light. Eyeglasses compatible, both eyes open use. A big plus for me.As the product information says, the reticle appears to be projected onto the target, so there is no hard focus on the reticle, instead of the target, as with a riflescope. Does not fog when going from hot to cold, or vice versa. At this point, I am completely satisfied with this, and would buy again!

EOTECH gets 4 stars for design, quality construction and performance. The holo red dot is legendary, and the 3x scope works well. However, for the price and weight, spending a couple of hundred dollars more gets you a Trijicon ACOG that relies on fiber optics for the reticule, making it a simpler and lighter solution for relatively CQB. Although the EXPS2-2 uses a small CR123A battery, the Trijicon uses no batteries. Simplicity of the Trijicon ACOG makes it a superior design. However, the circle red dot is reminiscent of Luke Skywalker lining up his shot on the Death Star exhaust port.OPTICS PLANET (for this shipment only) gets 2 1/2 stars because $2,000 of optics were shipped 2d day air with almost NO packing material other than 2 inflatable pillows. This meant that the $250 mount, the accompanying Leupold AND the EOTECH were bouncing around inside the overly large cardboard box. In fact, the mount was OUT of its packaging. So far, everything seems to work. I am unsure whether this is an anomaly because prior orders of non-fragile goods have been competently packaged.
