This fit onto my Remington 870 with ease. I wanted to see how the new MagPul angled foregrip would enhance my shotgun and the Mako handguard with rails was perfect for mounting it and a light on the side. Looks and functions great, although there is no rail room left to mount the light on the bottom. All in all, worked out great.Pros: Enhanced grip and function, mounts light and grip.Cons: None.

Overall nice forearm. Construction is pretty solid. Rails have some sharp edges which did cut my hand the first time I shot my Remy 870 tactical 12 gauge with it on. Upgraded to a vertical foregrip to avoid the sharp edges. Also installed an LED weapons light on the rails and it holds tightly on the rail with no issues. Pros: Solid constructionCons: Just a tiny bit too expensive

I have mounted this fore grip on my Remington 870 and have been quite pleased with the results. It is sturdy and I have used the rails to mount a TLR 1 and a vertical grip. The product is lightweight and the option to remove the left and right rail if they are not being used is a great asset. The installation is not overly complicated, but if you are unfamiliar with disassembling your firearm fully it may present a bit of a challenge. (I recommend the use of youtube videos if you need a walkthrough on disassembly.) My only notable complaint is that there is slight side to side play on the grip. However, it is not enough to bother me too much.I have been using this mod for over six months now and I would recommend it to a friend.Pros: Durable, Adds Utility, Flexibility, Grip.Cons: Not Cheap.

Fit perfectly. No problems. Optics planet is the best. I purchased a nightforce scope from them in the past. Their prices can't be beat and their phone service people make things easy. They have become my go to provider

Ok so it's not really a mod, and perhaps it's just fixing a bad habit. I bought this for it to go with a tacstar 6 round side saddle for my 870 defense model. Normally one has to cut off the end of the factory synthetic stock to get it to clear the saddle. This one almost seems designed for it.It has deep ribbing all the way down, which gives me grip when I have to shuck a round with gloves on in the rain. The one qualm I had about the Mako is that it comes with two side rails. When I quickly just grab the handguard, my thumb rests against the back of the left rail. Gave me a sore thumb. It's correctable with a hex wrench, just remove that side rail and it works like a charm. The other one I use for attachments. Highly recommended.Pros: Goes well with the synthetic stock and matte black finish, Fits with no mods, shortens foregrip enough to use a side saddleCons: Needs a quick mod to be useful.
