The FAB Defense QD Sling Swivel is Very sturdy. This product has the swivel feature which is a must for sling attachments. It is great for railed AR platforms. It has quality finish, and functionality at a reasonable price.

I tried to install this on my mk18. The locking bolt AND the mount base stripped right away at finger tight (not even a full turn!), and now the entire mount is useless. Truly disappointing. Get a mount from a reputable company and “buy once, cry once”, or so they say. This is complete junk.

The swivel is sturdy but feels tall on the rail. Other then that I like the way it looks. The main issue is that the mounting bolt is a little hard to tighten because of a hole in the middle. Also, the swivel block that mounts to rail is taller then what I was expecting. It sort of gets in the way with sling.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with DL's 1-star review. The base threads are extremely weak, and broke just as I was trying to get it finger-tight. The bolt itself should also be 1/8" – 3/16" longer, as only the top 2-3 teeth broke from the base threads, and I can't screw it down any further. I almost feel like it would be more sturdy if you flipped it around and screwed it in from the other end. Do not buy this unless FAB Defense makes some improvements. I am extremely disappointed that I paid over $40 for a glorified paperweight after tax and shipping.
