I bought this product to work with my Remington 887 nitro mag tactical shotgun. The shell carrier does not hold the shells as securely as I would like and you can only load the shells in one direction. If you attempt to use the it with the shells brass side down the shells will slip out of the holder.Pros: easy setupCons: shells can only be loaded in one direction

Really wanted to love this, as I'm a Fab Defense fan. Like another user, shells are just way too loose. Tried at least 5 different manufacturers and loads just to be sure it wasn't a particular brand of shell. No way you could hang this upside down and not have the shells all drop at first shot, or with any amount of shaking/motion. In the one I received, they would barely hold right side up it was that loose. Others have said it's very snug so I suspect it's poor QC. Clasp to hold onto rail was great, easy to adjust, but it won't hold real shells, and I don't have any toy plastic shotguns, so it's going back. I expected better – I returned it.

Completely made of plastic like something for my kids nerf gun not worth the price great idea just poor execution of product material not even a thick plastic only time will tell if this will hold out for the long run

Seems to be well made and holds shells firmly. Not sure why another reviewer commented that this shotgun shell holder could not be mounted upside down. He claimed the shells fell out. I call BS. No way shells would come out unless you’re slamming your shotgun against a rock like a sledgehammer! The shells fit snuggly; tight enough that there’s no way they fall out by accident but not so tight that they’re hard to extract when reloading. My only gripe is that the quick-disconnect is a little quirky. Even after flipping the QD to OPEN, you’ll have to loosen the nut to get the holder onto a rail. If you loosen too much, when you flip the QD to LOCK it wiggles a little. You’ll need to play with the adjustment a bit. Even after you find a balance, it won’t be easy to just flip the QD to OPEN or LOCK and take the holder off or put it on the rail. IMO – a minor inconvenience.

I have used some plastic resin type accessories, but very sparingly. This caddy is nearly all plastic. Not hard reinforced plastic, but toddler toy grade plastic. I thought the WD assembly would at least be of higher quality, but it’s plastic also! The only metal parts are the QD lever/cross bolt part.Spend just a bit more and get something that will stand up to use.
