Frankford Arsenal Reloading Tools F/a Powder Measure Digital Powder Intelli-dropper
$281.89
The Frankford Arsenal Digital Powder Intelli-Dropper 2000 Grain is an electronic powder measure with built-in weigh-shop that also features Bluetooth capability. With Bluetooth, the Frankford Arsenal Digital Powder Measure pours the powder into the hopper automatically adjusting the volume based on the type of cartridge being loaded. The Digital Powder Intelli-Dropper drops the specified powder charge directly into the powder hopper based on the weight of the cartridge being loaded (instead of a counting hopper full of powder) and stores the data in the free downloadable app. You may also manually trickle the powder charge to achieve the required trickle rate. Unlike mechanical powder measures, this digital powder measure can store up to 2000 pounds of data! Preloaded cartridge data allows you to choose your powder and bullet type, then choose the weight of the bullet. The Frankford Arsenal Digital Powder Intelli-Dropper 2000 Grains Capacity is an intelligent powder measure designed to increase the accuracy of your reloads. By inputting cartridge, case, primer and powder information into the app, the Frankford Arsenal Digital Powder Intelli-Dropper calculates the optimum charge weight based on the information you provide. By inputting case, primer, and barrel length (input case, primer, and barrel length), the Frankford Arsenal Digital Powder Intelli-Dropper calculates the optimum powder charge, automatically! Seems like a pretty well built machine. throws powder very well. .1 grain accuracy. It has a built in level and the adjustable feet are very nice to get your scale level. This thrower dispenses powder very quickly. About 8 seconds for a 50 grain charge. works well with long stick powder also with ball powders.

This works flawlessly. I have loaded several hundred rounds without a hiccup. Great price works very well. The only complaint i have is the powder drop. I epoxied a wing nut to it. It works well now.I would reccomend this to anyone. looking for an inexpensive powder dispenser.

Very happy with the unit so far. Easy to use, accurate and fast drops, and the powder calibration seems to work great. Makes single stage loading way easier. I have been unable to get the app to work properly however, although that is not the end of the world.

This thing is fast. compared to my lyman gen5 this powder dropper cut my powder time in half. its slower to spin up then the gen 5 but after it starts its way faster and more accurate. My Gen5 was consistently .1 gr low. This dropper was spot on. So why 4 stars? there are things I just don't like about it. first is the cover. If you don't use the cover its prone to drift. the scale is really sensitive and can drift just from you breathing and even ac blowing. I would have liked it if the cover was hinged so you could just swing it into place rather then taking it on and off every time. my next gripe is the powder drain. that thing is horrible. The guy who came up with that part should be fired. I almost always spill at least a little bit of powder trying to hold the can under it and turn that valve that covers it. Aside from those gripes this thing works great. has a level bubble built in and the feet move to level the powder dropper. Really fast after powder calibration. bluetooth connection with your phone and software. takes up very little real estate vs the gen5 I Have.

I have had this scale for about 2 years. In that two years I probably loaded around 6000 rounds of pistol up to magnum rifle loads using the intelli-dropper. Every thing from 5 grains of Tightgroup to 85 grains of IMR 4831. I have had no problems with this machine. I have had some over charges as you would with any powder dispenser. I have read reviews that state emptying the powder reservoir is a pain and they are correct. When finished loading I will have the machine empty 150 grains of powder at a time until I can see the shaft inside the container. Then I place the lid that comes with this unit under the powder emptying spout to catch the remaining powder. No big deal. I don't fill the powder container up to much anyway so it is easier to empty. This scale has always been accurate. The touch screen is responsive and easy to see. It does drift a little. When this occurred I would zero it and wait. Waiting too long and it starts to drift again. I now just zero it and press the GO button to dispense the powder. I will check every other weight with a beam scale 5-6 times and then switch to an electronic scale to make things go a little quicker. I have read people stating that they received one that was DOA. I have also read that people received DOA machines from other manufacturers. Well, they are probably all made at the same factory in China. I would say, keep returning it until you get a good one, no matter which one you purchase.NDC

However, I cannot, in good conscience even give it an OK rating. Currently I am returning my second unit to Optics Planet. The first unit I purchased would not connect to any bluetooth device I owned. The scale was adequate. It measured accurately, and the powder calibration feature worked like a dream. Unfortunately one of the big draws for me was the ability to work through the bluetooth feature and create a database of loads that I could send directly to the scale. So, unit one went back to Optics Planet (yes I tried customer service for OP and FA and FA took almost 4 weeks to return my email) for replacement. The replacement unit arrived and I was very disappointed to see that the unit I received was not a new unit. I will not even say that it was a reconditioned unit. There were three layers of tape on the outside of the box. That tells me that at least two different people were in the box before I was. If one of them was a tech person, I have no clue. Nothing was mentioned on any of the documentation about the unit being serviced. But, hoping for the best, I plugged it in and started using it. Day one was perfect. All the bells and whistles worked flawlessly. Day two was another matter all together. First, after 50 loads were poured the unit stopped working. The load was reset, the unit went back to just turned on state, the powder calibration was lost, and I was back to square one. Or so I hoped. After about an hour, the unit went totally haywire. The alarm signal rang continually, the unit appeared to be going into calibration mode and then random numbers were displayed on the LCD read out. This unit is now back in the box and being returned.I have several Frankford Arsenal products and I am VERY pleased with them. Perhaps all the kinks are not ironed out in this unit as of yet. BUT. Before you put a unit on the market you darn well better be certain of the product you are selling. This one, is simply trash.
