I had high hopes for this swager since I've bought other Frankford Arsenal products before, but this thing's a piece of junk. Less than 100 cases and it broke. Not the swage pin or anvil but the case. It's made from pot metal so I guess that's not a surprise, but one would think they would reinforce the areas that are subjected to the most stress. My advice, spend a little more and get a Dillon.

So after the swager broke I contacted Frankford Arsenal to complain about the poor quality and within a few days they had shipped me a new one, no questions asked. In addition, this new one has been re-engineered and beefed up in the area that broke. I gave 3 stars because of the exceptional customer service but it still annoyed me that the thing broke in the first place.

I’ve used this to swage out roughly 10k primer pockets in 556 military brass. I have noticed some wear maybe starting to occur as hand priming cases seem to be just a smidge tougher now. But can’t tell a difference priming with a press. But 10k cases give or take is a good start in my opinion. I imagine if somethin happens down the road, FA would probably help out for parts or service. I have several of their products, not top of the line stuff but definitely no regrets.

I,ve been loading crimped primer pocket brass for over 60 years and have used every method out there. The Frankford swager works! It's far better than other swagers costing much more and way faster than reaming. Only done 200 – 300 so far, it's not perfect but close and the tool to use if you load crimped brass. Bill
