Dont overload it and it will work perfect. Love the strainer feature. Makes separating so much easier. The tabs to lock the basket are a little tight but they hold great.do yourself a favor and buy the transfer magnet too and life will be so much simpler.

For the time you will save, its worth the extra cost. I was using a spaghetti strainer prior to this and it took multiples as long shaking media out of the cases. Go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it.

Prior to purchasing this separator, I would hand-separate the casings from the solid media one at a time. Talk about mind-numbing. I decided to purchase the Frankford media separator and give it a try. I can now separate all of the solid media away from the brass, (including the interior of the casings) in less than 1 minute on an average load of 300 casings. I was actually surprised at how well it worked. I tried it for separating the brass after using a wet tumbling cleaning method and was equally pleased. The round casing sieve is pretty rugged, but the case top and bottom are thinner than I expected. I do like the screen in the lid which helps drain water away when using the wet media method. After 2 months of use, the unit is holding up well, so I have concluded it is a good deal for the price. I would recommend it.

I would have preferred a little more robust system – especially in the handles. However, this works just fine so far and seems more rugged than it looks. We will see how long the arms last…. So for now – a 4 star….

  5. Relard

Just open the box and little blue plastic pieces falling out. This thing is big time cheap. Get what you pay for.

Works great. however, you have to turn very slowly in the beginning otherwise you’ll throw the stainless steel pins outside of the container.
