Purchased for a S&W 642, best ankle holster I have owned, does not come with the calf strap.Very comfortable compared to other ankle holsters I have owned. But on hot days is still warm, but that is to be expected.

Was reluctant to buy ankle holster, because I had one years ago and when I was running the gun would shake and was afraid it would fall out, but I decided to try it again. This ankle holster the gun fits really snug in it,the white fun on the back makes it more comfortable on my ankle and the all around comfort is great. When I got use to it, sometimes I forget its their. glad I bought it. Thanks.

This is my first ankle holster and I did quite a bit of research before purchasing. I have to say, I am very pleased with it. It takes a little to break in the leather, which I usually help along by wrapping the gun in wax paper and leaving it in the holster for 24 – 48 hours. The fit and comfort are very good and you can almost forget its there. I found optics planet to have the best price and, having used them many times before, great customer service.

Only wish it had a retaining strap. In this model the gun just slips in – and it is nice and snug – but I would imagine after some time – it may lose some of that retention – although there is a retention screw – but we all know how leather gives. Overall – good holster for my Smith 642.
