Galco’s High Ready chest holster system is the latest in an expanding line of torso-worn hunting and outdoor holsters. The High Ready is ideal for comfortably carrying a large-frame handgun when hunting, fishing, camping or hiking in bear country. Positioning on the chest keeps the handgun clear of gear carried near the waistline or on the back and allows rifle carry on either shoulder. It also helps keep the handgun dry when wading, and is a great choice for riding, whether on an ATV or horseback. The High Ready’s outstanding comfort level comes from three major design features: The first is its innovative backing plate, composed of a ballistic nylon front over a closed cell foam body. The back portion of the plate that rides against the wearer’s chest is lined with Galco’s Comfort Cloth, an Adaptive Performance Mesh that provides padding and moisture wicking. Secondly, the unique harness construction that allows the holster to pivot at three independent attachment points, maximizing freedom of movement and minimizing restriction. Three quickly-operated, highly secure metal side-release buckles attach the holster component to the harness straps at the pivot points. Lastly, 1 1/2 in wide tubular webbing harness straps distribute the weight of a heavy handgun for maximum comfort. One strap goes over either shoulder, while the second wraps around the torso for highly effective weight distribution. The rigid, open-top Kydex holster pocket offers full slide coverage, provides fast draw and easy holstering, and facilitates a full firing grip. The holster pocket on semiauto versions accommodates most red dot sights. This hoister was exactly what I was looking for. I adjusted and hoister my gun and I was fortunate to be standing at the foot of our bed. The gun fell out on the bed. After discovering the mounting hardware was not snapped into place. Also discovered 1 on the snaps was laying in the plastic product box. It was a simple fix and all is well but your quality inspection was lacking as if the inspector was sleeping as he packaged the product. Over all if you want this style holster it’s everything as advertised.

Well put together and constructed chest holster. Good adjustments for big boys and houses my XTEN tight. Straps are very comfortable and holster is very light in weight. Happy with comfort of product.

I like to ride single track, or mountain roads on my dirt bike and camp on the trail. I carry a Sig P226 legion SAO RX. Having it on my chest gives easy access and less of a chance of bruising my hip or breaking a rib if I go down. The straps adjust easily and the buckles are low profile as to not snag or catch things as I pass. The buckles make it easy to take off and on with my protective gear on as well as adjusting while I’m in camp with out the extra gear on. It’s also much easier when relieving your self. A gun on the belt makes your pants heavy and awkward. It’s a great price and in my case very functional. It’s perfect for the avid outdoors man. Also when crossing rivers it’s higher on the chest and less likely to submerge your gun and ammo.
