Made using a premium saddle leather material, the Galco Royal Guard Inside The Pants Handgun Holster, has a rough side of the leather for greater stability in the pants, while the smooth side of the leather lies against the handgun for a slicker draw feel. The butt-forward cant of the Galco Royal Guard ITP Weapon Holster, increases concealibility when worn behind the strong hip, while the addition of a raised sweat guard protects both the handgun and the gun carrier. The black-colored metal-reinforced mouth on the Royal Guard IWB allows easy one-handed return to the holster. Very well made holster! It fit's my Springfield 1911-A1 Loaded perfectly and is verycomfortable to wear. I gave the inside of the holster a coat of EZ-Draw and the pistol draws easily and doesn't mar the parkerized finish on the pistol. I highly recommend this product.

I've been using using the Gen 1 Royal Guard by Galco for years with my SIG P220. My favorite holster for cover work. I'm an LEO.I decided to get a new Gen 2 Royal Guard for my Glock 23. This newer design Gen 2 is an upgrade from the Gen 1 model. It has the extended leather guard to help protect the weapon from skin perspiration. It also has a different angle. I'm not sure the new angle is better than the original's angle.The best feature of the new Gen 2 is the attractive two-tone finish with the gold stitching. Very impressive. The horsehide leather is very nice.This is a premium holster and well worth the money.

Holster is the best IWB that I have had to date. Stays open at the top for one handed re-holstering. Is comfortable against the body. Does not leave leather all over the front sight like other leather holsters have. I like the fact that you can get the belt loops for brown belts as well. Only con that I can think of is in my opinion I would like some leather between the grip safety and my body. Great holster and I am extremely happy with it.

Purchased two Royal Guard Gen 2 holsters. One for a small snub nose revolver and the other for a compact semi-automatic.The Royal Guard Gen 2 holsters are by far the most expensive IWB holsters I've ever purchased however, without a doubt they've bothproven to be the most comfortable and highest quality IWB holsters I've ever owned. They're worth every cent.

I have this Royal Guard holster for almost all of my pistols. It is rigid, fits the firearm well, and is easily concealable. The leather is premium and very thick. It excels with smaller pistols- like the Glock 42 or a snub nose revolver. Only limiting factor is you have to be wearing a belt.
