Featuring an open top design for speed, covered trigger for safety, and tension screw adjustment for added security, the highly versatile Speed Master 2.0 adds convenient on/off ability to the equation when set up as a paddle holster. As a bonus, the Speed Master 2.0 can also be configured as a solid and stable belt holster using the included belt slot attachment. The Speed Master 2.0s excellent versatility derives from its included twin attachment methods an adjustable belt slot and a paddle that are quickly and easily interchangeable by the end user. A flat-headed screwdriver is the only tool needed to swap one attachment for the other, giving the gun carrier the choice of two carry methods: the convenient paddle design or the stable and traditional belt slot. A Belt Drop is also available as an option. It can increase the speed of the draw, sit clear of equipment ranging from rain gear to body armor, ride below a backpacks waist straps, and make the draw easier for short-waisted and/or female shooters. Constructed of premium steerhide, the Speed Master 2.0 fits belts up to 1 3/4″. I have several Holsters from Bravo Concealment and KT mech for my pistols and this one works and fits just like they do. I got it for a Kimber Raptor 2 that has a somewhat shiny finish and I wanted a holster to go easy on it. It fits excellent and doesn’t move around at all.

I have been running Galco Leather holsters for over 20 years because they are simply one of the best manufacturers of fine leather holsters out there. I was building a Polymer80 Glock17 clone and had previously found when building a Glcok 15 clone the Galco holsters would work. My origional concern back then was, Glaco is very "form fitting" and the trigger gurard on the Polymer80 is a little larger and different so I had a worry, would it fit? It did so I jumped on this model (Galco Speed Master 2.0 Paddle/Belt Holster, Glock 17, Glock 22, Glock 31, Concealment, Right Hand, Black, SM2-224B — Color: Black) for my Glock17 clone. Again, the fit was perfect and I could not be more pleased! The hand built leather holster is flawless in every way and very nice to look at. Once YOU FOLLOW THE BREAK IN INSTRUCTIONS, the holster carrys your weapon firmly yet, it is still easy to draw from. The paddle works excellent with a good belt and you do get the option to make it a through the belt holster. Again, FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS ON FITTING AND BREAK-IN. If you do you will have your holster ready to carry in just a few hours! The instructions say for you to use a freezer bag and do so! Do not try to fit your weapon in the very tight holster without breaking in first! And yes, use a freezer bag and not just a thin sandwich bag. If you want a proffesional grade, hand made leather holster that has a fit and finish to be envied, look no further! Yes, it is pricy but you do get what you pay for and you will get many years of use out of this holster. Buy once, hurt once!

It does not sit right on the hip. It has no retention and is lose. I tried to alternate to the belt loop attachment that came with the holster instead of the paddle and my belt was too thick for it. Galco has lost my business when there are better holsters out there like the CQC serpa blackhawk holster. The design of this holster is poor. I have owned three of their holsters, one was a button strap holster I kept having issues with fit, and the avenger which is a pain to get on and off my belt if I need to go in somewhere like the post office. This is why I wanted a paddle. Poor holsters in my opinion.

Product was received in a timely manner. This Galco Holster is of quality leather and exterior finish. Stitching excellent. Fit for 1911 is tight however following instructions that came with the holster, easy to read and follow, I can see improvement each day. Highly recommend this model for your 1911 A1. Especially the fact that this one can be worn on your belt or as a paddle holster.
