Geissele Usasoc AR15/M4/M16 Upper Receiver Complete Group, Near Clone, 10.3in ML CHF, 5.56mm
$2,122.14
The weapons industry standard for the last 50 years, the M4 has only had a few changes: the barrel has had some modest length changes along with some larger changes to the mounting system. However, for the most part, the silhouette has stayed relatively the same. The bulkier, more forward attachment slots on the barrel of the 5.56mm M16 have been retained, as have the carbine gas system and the free floated Super Modular Rail MK 16 handguard. All of these elements work in concert to deliver measurable increases in hit probability – an important stat to shooters who use long range tactics and M855A1 ammo. The USASOC URGI upper receiver group installs a brand new weapon onto an existing system. This upper receiver is currently in active service with USASOC. The USASOC URGI is a 10.3in variant of the Geissele URG-1. An upper worthy for the Boog. Superior fit and finish. Handles well in tight quarters/cqb environment- pair with an SB Tactical brace to avoid ATF NFA nonsense- I recommend the SBA3, as the cheekweld is closer to the SOPMOD stocks, as the cloners know. Is this a true clone? No. However, I have found the Geissele parts (upper reciever/super gas block) a better fit for this upper vs a true clone. The DD MK12 gas block may have potential clearance issues with the MK16 rail, whereas Geissele’s super gas block is more forgiving. Bombproof installation sums it up, with a pin and two set screws (witness marked) on the gas block. I spotted some aeroshell grease under the barrel nut- I am confident the builders at Geissele know WTF they’re doing and have strong QC in place. Cloners will drool over the rare SF4P flash hider, and may even pay you $300 for it. Upper came packaged in a URG-I box with the Surefire “golden ticket”, a Super 42 H3 buffer/spring, and a 35% off Geissle.com coupon (Geissele has been hit hard for product demand since Black Friday 2019, and wait times have been months for some- this coupon is likely a limited time customer apology). You will spend about a half hour cleaning the cosmojizz off this upper and BCG. Bottom line, if you have the coin, want this upper, and find this upper in stock (rare)- get some! This upper should suppress well (DD has reduced MK18 gas port to 0.070 since 2017) and will love to eat 77gr. Will look into the Surefire Warden attachment if the upper is too blasty.

It's great. Comes with buffer spring and H3 buffer. Muzzle device will ring like a tuning fork, which may bother some people. Can't go wrong with this geissele/daniel defense/surefire mash-up.The rail, while not particularly fragile, was deformed from over tightening of arisaka m-lok scout light mount, so there's that. Still works fine. It is a little pricey. You can save some more money by buying the stripped version of this (no H3 buffer, no buffer spring, no muzzle device, no BCG, no charging handle) and buy the rest of the components separately. The surefire muzzle device is the big spender here, and you can really get by with a surefire 3 prong instead or warcomp, because the 4-prong has the USASOC contract.
