Mounted on my Baikal MP221 45-70 double rifle. After firing 25 rounds this mount held my scope rock solid! Heavy recoil had no ill effects. POI for scope remained unchanged. Appears to be well conceived and machined.

Just what I was looking for. Very rugged. Should not move with any amount of recoil. Has center rear scope stop if your rifle has the hole. No instructions, no torque specs. but easy to install. Can't beat the price.

Recently bought the medium height version for use on a .22 lever action rifle. This mount is built like a battleship and is finished very well. The screws are steel with plenty of thread length for secure fastening. I prefer an all-in-one mount for its integrity, and this fills the bill. As a check on its quality of machining, I temporarily mounted it on the rifle and placed a perfectly straight 5-foot length of aluminum tubing in the saddles. The tube lined up visually perfect with the barrel axis and remained so when I swapped it end-for-end. There is a caveat, however: on the medium mount the clearance between the bottom of the saddles and the top of the base is only a bit more than 1/8-inch. This may create a clearance problem with the bottom of the turret housing on your scope, so check first. You definitely do not want any pressure on the scope at this point. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it remains to seen how it works over time.

Great looking strong Mount BUT, looking at the bolts for the ring caps, the front set look nice and strong, deep black color as you would expect from a bolt made from a good quality steel. The bolts for the rear ring are very suspect. They had a "copper" looking color to them with a light black sheen, not the deep black that high quality steel has. As much as I wanted to use this mount, I did not trust the cap screws and returned it. I called and asked if I could get a replacement that someone would look at closely to insure the proper screws were there. Nope, can't guarantee that someone can examine another mount for replacement. I am not taking the chance to go thru the same weak looking bolts and having the hassle to return another Hawke one piece mount. If you have this mount, I would suggest you find some high grade bolts to replace the factory ones. They may break or even rust.

I use this mount on a Beeman R7 .20 cal. air rifle. It holds the scope firmly and has four srews to hold the base to the dovetails; nicely finished and stable! What I did learn about one-piece mounts is to insure you have enough dovetail groove to accomodate the entire length of the mount base. On the R7, about 1/4" of the scope mount is beyond the end of the dovetail grooves. It works, but I do check the screws for tightness frequently.Pros: Holds scope firmlyCons: None

Quality piece all around to secure my Hawke optics. There isn't a long list of options to mount to an 11mm dovetail receiver and this quality, rock solid set up gotter done!! Will definitely Hawke hardware for my future mounting applications.
