Casual Shooter –
I have a few other holosuns across other platforms, although I wanted to try the new (to me) gold dot style. The reticle was a clean yellowish/green hue that was easy to pick up against all the backgrounds I tried it out on.

Got this for a home defense weapon. I was initially unsure about the Gold Dot retical. Upon receipt of the product, I found it to be easy to install and ready to use. The optic shines more of a neon green with gold tint to it, especially when outside. The color puts no strain on the eye and you easily focus on the target instead of the dot. The shake awake technology DOES work and is an amazing feature for quick deployment from next to the bed or wherever you may be. The consumer should know when I finish writing this review I will be buying another Gold Dot haha.

I believe that Holosun holds the sweet spot of decent price for decent quality. The HE403R GD is no exception. The optic is robust and capable of withstanding harsh use. The 2moa dot is really nice for precision and still allows fast target acquisition.
Speed bump –
I'm color blind red green. This sight is gold yellow works great!! See great with it in woods pipeline hunting. Hit paper plate at 100 yards with it .

Great Optic, great price! The dial knob on the side makes changing the brightness fast and intuitive. I prefer the dial to the push buttons if your transitioning form inside a strict to out door or if you want to dial the dot down for a more precise shot. This is the way to go. As with all Holosun products I own solid performance!!

Bought for my wife because she was having issues with the green dot. The gold is great she can see it clearly and it makes s big difference. Mounted on her SP5K-PDW SBR direct on an infitech aimpoint micro mount. 100% co witness.
