I won't be buying either of those lights anymore. Holosun has given me viable options at a fraction of the cost. My first was the P.ID with a serial number below 10,000 and it's built like a tank, has a throw like the 300 turbo but floods like the Moonlight. I have it on my current carry gun, my FN 509 tactical fs, and it looks great. The paddles wrap my trigger guard like it was made for the 509 only. I couldn't ask for a better light for identification and location in the dark. Especially at this price. And it looks good on my 509 with the Holosun 407cx2 on top.

This light is built well in aluminum housing, good mounting options and competitive light output with the most popular lights. I like the simplicity of the switches and mounting. It also looks good and carry’s the same reliability of the holosun optics. This light also has convenient magnetic charging making it easy to charge the battery without having by to remove anything. The only con at the moment is that since it is a new product there aren’t any holster options for it that I can find. It is however compatible with other similar size lights like the tlr 1.

This light scored the highest on Werkz Holster's most recent light torture test. It beat everyone, and I mean everyone. This light's output is incredible and has a low and high mode. That's main reason I bought it was because it boasts a 1000 lumen and 23,000 candela output. Low works great in my home. This is a great light and worth more than they charge.

I'll start with all the great. The light pattern and color look every bit as good as the tlr1 hl, maybe even better in some aspects. I personally thing it looks better than the tlr. I personally don't like huge bright white branding on things so this holosun wins there. It's a front load 18350 (flat top, not button top) battery that you could easily swap out of necessary, but the ease of charging with the light still on the weapon is a fantastic touch. They got the only good aspect of the olights and put it on this light. I even like the switches. I may like the toggle style of the tlr a little better, but pressing in instead of down really isn't that big of a deal. I'll take these switches 11 times out of 10 over the crappy x300u switches that are so stiff that it's almost aggravating at how hard they are to activate (i tried multiple x300's and they're all the same). Now for the only negative with this holosun light. There is a half second delay in actually shutting off after you release the button. Not the biggest deal, but that could be a refinement they work on for gen2. I have also had the light not activate if i half heartedly press the switch. I could feel it "click" but i still didn't press hard enough to actually activate. The switch shouldn't "click" if the light won't activate. And it's not just this one. I bought the HC model too and it's exactly the same.Basically, these are my new pistol light choice. Can't wait for the gen2 when they correct the little nitpicks. Then there will be nikki question about what the best option is.

Great build quality and switches feel nice and beefy. Light is very bright. Great light for the price. easily equal to lights that cost 2x to 3x the price.

Best weapons light IMO. The price, brightness and throw, are better than some of the other bigger brands that I have. Fits well on my Echelon too.
