Battery will be drained whether on or off so it’s pointless other than a day at the range. They also lie about it being a dual output laser on their website, talked to a rep about it and they could care less. Do not waste your money.

Purchased unit last fall. Battery would only last 10-14 days regardless of ehether I used the laser or not. Finally got Holosun to replace the unit under warranty. Got the replacement new laser and mounted it 10 days ago. It's now on its THIRD battery.

Picked up the green laser. Impressed on the ruggedness and how solid this unit is made. Fits great and secures very tight to the gun. Even dropped the pistol at the range and laser was fine. I read some reviews about the battery draining. No idea what those users are doing. Bad battery? I've had mine on for 3 weeks now and just as strong as the day I installed it and I've been picking it up and testing it every day just to make sure it works.As for the battery installation – you must use the tool it comes with to open and tighten the battery compartment. I could not do it without that tool. The other weird thing is the battery has to have this rubber gasket type thing on it otherwise it doesn't work.Everyone has their own preference as to what and why they have certain accessories. This is a range fun accessory. Personally, I have a green laser for my carry gun that automatically turns on when I grip the pistol. This laser has its own paddle type button on each side that must be pressed to turn it on.As for home defense I prefer a pistol with a bright white light. I feel better identifying what I shoot at opposed to a green dot on something that's moviing in the dark.Overall – This is a perfect laser for the range. Green laser is bright for daytime use. Helps me get quick acquisition onto steel targets. Just a lot of fun

I have a RMLt Green even without using it the battery goes dead and I need to replace it!Lucky to get 3 days out of it. So if you were planning on using it on your personal concealed, carry for defense, you need to make sure you change your battery every day. The last thing you have happened is the laser not work great laser size stay dialed in he just got to change the battery I would not purchase another product, this company they said the battery would last like 10,000 hours you’re lucky to get four days

For starters, this laser is built very nicely. The fit and finish is really pleasing and you can tell the materials used are high quality.I like the system of shims that they give you so you can size which pic slot you want to place the laser. That gives you a secure fit with no wobbling or rattling.The battery compartment is solid and relatively easy to access with the special tool Holosun loves to include in their packaging.The one gripe is the battery life. It would be nice if they came out with a rechargeable version.

This laser sight is built with quality and is easy to install. This laser is not for long use, or it will drain the CR1/3N battery so have backups batteries to switch out if running night relays. I am running this laser on my 10mm M&P no problem however it never hurts to use blue thread locker.
