I previously had a Vortex Venom 6 moa mounted on my G19 MOS Gen5 pistol. I had configured it to use as a home defense pistol that usually lived in a lock box in my bedroom for reasonably quick access yet secured for being accessed by kids. I recently got my CCW permit and want to be able to CCW this G19. I began to look for elevated sights so that I could have backup/co-witness should the Venom fail or I forget to power it up. I found that the Venom was effective at the target range but I was still a novice at presenting the firearm and picking up the red dot as I was raising it.I have some challenges with my eyes that that I think contribute to picking up the red dot. First, I am cross eye dominant, I shoot right handed so I have to bring the firearm to the left side of my body to get aligned with my left eye. Second, I have astigmatism which apparently makes it harder to see the red dot and makes it "bloom". Green is apparently much easier for older eyes (I'm early 50s) with astigmatism to see.Removing the Vortex was simple enough despite having properly mounted it with lock-tite and a torque screw driver. Mounting the new Holosun following the directions was very simple and I again used the blue lock-tite and my torque screw driver. The sight instantly began working. The 32 moa circle and center dot work fabulously!! I have done several sessions of dry fire practice, including drawing from my IWB holster and presenting to fire and it is so easy for me to pick up the green dot and get on target!!The Holosun SCS MOS sits nice and low and can co-witness with the stock glock sights so I don't need to get elevated sights to use as a backup.Hopefully I will get a warm day soon when work is slow and I can take it to the range for some live fire practice and to do any adjustments to zero.

I love the Holosun SCS optic for the Glock MOS. I have purchased two of these optics in the past few months, one for my duty pistol and one for personal carry. The technology is superior to other optic manufacturers. I highly recommend Holosun SCS.

After reading a lot of reviews I decided on the Holosun SCS for my primary/g45. It has all the features I was looking for and more. It was literally made for these pistols, so the fit and finish is perfect. After install and some range time, I'm sold. Fast target acquisition, even though the lens is a bit smaller than others, its easy to adapt to. Came zeroed to at least 20 yards outta the box!Loved it, so I bought another for a g34 gen 5. Same perfect fit and finish and function. Had some issues develop with this one- a bubble formed in between the glass, and the battery wouldn't charge past 30 percent. Contacted Holosun and sent it to them. They fixed it or replaced it, don't care either way cause it works flawlessly as the other one does.$350 is an expensive purchase, at least for me. So buying 2 … I looked at as buy once cry once (well twice, but you know what I mean). It's an investment into something I enjoy recreationaly and also into a tool I pray is never needed. If you can afford it- get it. You won't be sorry, and if any issues arise- Holosun is great about backing up their warranty!!!

Everything about this optic is perfect for a Glock MOS in several ways that no other optic can be due to its native MOS footprint, 2MOA dot as opposed to 3, selectable reticle, titanium body. My only complaint pertains to CC application, as it has no shake-to-wake function–which would be okay if it had some sort of panic button that could easily be smacked/poked in a rapid fashion during the draw. but unfortunately, the singular button is virtually flush with the optic body and very small, and needs to be held for 1 sec to turn the optic on. The button cannot be found with your eyes closed unless you already know where it is, and mostly requires you to pinch the whole optic between your finger and thumb to engage the button with your left hand, or awkwardly reach way up with your right thumb and squeeze. Button engagement is only slightly tactile, and certainly resistant to accident. The result is that there is no rapid way to turn the optic on. To CC with confidence, you need to expose the optic to light before carrying to ensure a good charge, and then simply turn the optic on and leave it on the whole time you CC, which the battery life certainly is comfortably capable of. The extremely low profile of the MOS optic allows you to co-witness with standard irons which could also be your emergency tactic if you don't want to carry with the optic on, and quite frankly there isn't a better looking MOS optic option anywhere on the market.

Mounts perfect to a Glock 45 MOS, just two drops of lock tight and the simple tool provided. No extra adaptor plates needed, so the profile is kept low and tight. It was was pretty close to zero on the first shot right out of the box at 7 yards. I was able to zero it at 15 yards using only 9 rounds from a rest. The green light is easy to pick up in full daylight. I am starting to like a green light over a red and not sure why yet. I am happy with my decision.
