The Kaw Valley Precision OPMOD Mega Hybrid-K Linear Compensator, is part of a specialized family of muzzle devices, designed to manage concussion while providing effective muzzle compensation. This compensator collects and redirects muzzle gasses, resulting in a softer shooting experience for both the shooter and bystanders by directing concussion downrange. In a collaboration between Kaw Valley Precision and Optics Planet, this Optics Planet OPMOD Exclusive compensator combines the features of a linear compensator and a ported brake. It features six compact vertical ports to control muzzle rise as well as forward-facing ports to direct sound concussion away from the shooter. The compensator’s large internal volume allows for efficient sound redirection, while the top ports combat muzzle flip by directing the blast vertically. The “One Comp Fits All” bore sizing makes the Mega Hybrid-K suitable for any cartridge application up to 46 caliber. Finished with a Black Nitride coating, the compensator offers exceptional wear resistance. Note: Please install Mega Comps with a crush washer or other timing device. Locate the vertical ports in an eleven/one oclock orientation for best results. I have several of the smaller versions, that I really enjoy. However, I felt it would be nice to help a little more with larger calibers. I tried this on out and was very happy. Simple design, but works well. I would recommend.

Purchased the Kaw Valley OPMOD Mega Hybrid-K for my AR pistol. I’ve never used one before and haven’t shot with this one yet but based on the construction and reviews, it will be worth it. I really like that it is longer and heavier than the A2 muzzle break, along with the 6 angled upward gas ports, it will help reduce muzzle rise and flash. Can’t wait to run it soon.
