Nice and warm. Need to be broken in for a while but fit my feet well now that I’ve used them. My feet get cold easy and the insulation keeps me warm into the teens if I’m stationary. Highly recommended for late season mountain hunting

I bought these 1000 to replace pac boots for deer hunting in Wisconsin. Most important quality being warmth while sitting still. They served that purpose well but I found they fit well immediately and are a joy to walk in. They don't feel bulky at all . I now have used them bird hunting and for general use all late fall and winter.

You get what you pay for. I live in NE Iowa and hunting seasons/winters get very cold. The kenetrek Mountain Extreme 1000 are not only warm but most comfortable and well built boots I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot. The price of the boots were unmatched and the customer service was top notch. I don’t write many reviews but felt this information needed to be shared. Thank you Opticsplanet!!!!!!!!!

I am now a Seinor that has traveled everywhere. i lived in Vail, CO, for the 70's and at that time stuck my feet in Hiking boots and never took them out since. Now that i am a Florida Sales Business owner, and dress professionally, do trade shows, drive long distances, do fine dining with customers, whom i will also take elk hunting this fall in North Colorado, I STILL WEAR BOOTS FULL TIME. ESPECIALLY these Mountain Extreme 1000 boots. i bought these to replace my use of Merrells that i have really loved till i got these and found out what i was missing. Toss in the fact that last year in August, i dropped my BMW R1200 GS, on my right ankle and broke it. These boots aren't the orthopedic versions, but they might as well be considered as such. My ankles quit hurting and the swelling is under control with the sock liners and these boots. Another thing is that Florida is HOT, and i bought these to keep my feet warm at 0 degrees in Colorado. i decided to put them on and wear them in right away. AMAZING! The Thinsulate 1000 keeps the heat out from long hours of hot Florida asphalt and job sites. the stories i read about no break-in period or blisters is absolutely true. the combination of these boots and the ultimate boot liner sock is spectacular and i can stand for long, long periods of time on hard surfaces without my feet (and recovering ankle) screaming at me. i got the highest topped boot and worried that these typically pull socks down and require frequent manipulation….WRONG, these stay perfectly in place and the laces don't loosen like my Merrell boots do. i am so impressed that i am actually ordering them for all of our service department and shop guys (in High Tops and steel toes). at $500- $600 per pair, these are the very best investments i will have made in a long time. feel free to write me if anyone has a question at te@tomevans.com, and i will be happy to converse about my strongest recommendation. I will write another review after i spend a week above treelike this november.
