Very versatile and inexpensive shooting rest, without going all out on an expensive shooters bench the Lyman Match Shooting Bag w/ Bag Jack can be used on top of any type of portable table. Being adjustable is the best advantage, it can be set for different height tables and persons, it is not always easy using flimsy folding card tables, yet with the Lyman Match Shooting Bag w/ Bag Jack, it works out very good. When we make a day to go out target shooting, we must pack collapsible tables and accessories, the Lyman Match Shooting Bag w/ Bag Jack makes this possible !

If you zero your sights to a bench vise, you'll get the accuracy only from a bench vise. This allows you to zero from bags. You can even substitute your own bags. The jack works great, making fine elevation adjustments a snap. The bag that comes with this is pretty good, but the jack is awesome. It's smooth and sturdy.

Very satisfied withe products and seem to be a quality choice for my use.Products well made and are very sturdy.I use them for sighting in and zeroing scopes for target shooting. The optics Planet web sight is very good because I can find what I want and the shipping time is very good!!!I am hunting for another scope and I am sure I will be ordering from Optics Planet again soon.

I've always felt "hunched down" over the rifle when using bags at the bench. Look down the line at the range and you'll see everyone bent over trying to get lined up with their scope. It's uncomfortable. This allows you to raise the rifle up to a natural height. I like it better than the expensive "tripod/lead sled" type rests as those don't adjust high enough. I had built my own rest out of wood, but this is lighter and the screw adjustments allows you to raise the height exactly without needing to pinch the front bag to adjust the height. I bought a Caldwell Shoulder Saver 8" Magnum Center Post Rear Bag to pair with this and it works well. Maybe Lyman needs a smaller version of this lift for the rear bag?

The jack is heavy duty and the bag is a typical x type bag that is included. The picture clearly shows a rear bag. Yes I see now reading all the fine print that it does not actually say two bags but still the picture of the combo set clearly shows two completely different type bags highlighted. That makes it not as good of a deal as shown.

I really like it, its my goto range rest because it's adjustable. The only draw back, I tend to shoot big long heavy barreled guns. There isn't enough leverage to lift the heavy barreled guns with the gun on it. I have to tilt the gun back and turn the knob. Minor probably as you don't generally have to adjust more than once in the field. And most people don't have regular rifles with much lighter barrels and they wouldn't have this problem. Just thought I should note this as I planned to lay the rifle up there and turn the knob.I'm glad I bought it, my rests are various heights at different benches and shooting houses. This allows me to accommodate for all of them.
