I haven't bent one yet but I only built 2 lowers so far. I foresee this tool to last me a long time. The balls in the tip are perfect fit for my roll pins. the knurled handles are pretty rough so it did not slip thru my fingers at all.

The Lyman Roll Pin Punch set is a big waste of money. Purchased this set specifically to remove the small roll pin used to hold the gas tube in the gas block in place. After the first wack from my hammer the small punch bent, now what and I going to do. Yes, I was going the correct direction from left to right.

Item came in a pouch to keep the tools in. The pouch was torn when I took it out of the package. Called customer sevice I explained it and he said nothingPros: it worksCons: pouch is a peice of junk and the tools fall out. Worthless called customer service and he didn't seem to care

So far, so good. I have replaced several pins with the 1/16" punch and have had no problems, Use a small hammer, some patience, and hold it straight and you will have success without bending it.

I purchased this set of roll pin punches as I am beginning to do my own AR15 builds. The only issue that I had with this set is that it does not have the correct size to remove the gas tube roll pin from the gas block. This of course could have been avoided had I done a little extra research on my own before purchasing. Still not a bad deal and the correct punch only cost me $4.00 to add to the set. I will say to all those out there that are contemplating doing your own AR builds, It pays to purchase all of the correct tools! My last build was so much easier since I finally broke down and purchased all of the recommended punches, vice blocks, hammers and wrenches. Pros: Good value. Cons: Does not include the correct size to remove gas tube roll pin on AR15
