This is an awesome slug mold it allows me to use my Mec reloader with standard crimp to load hundreds of rounds to shoot out of my saiga and so far they seem very accurate, only molding one at a time can be time consuming but it is a small price to pay considering how much factory slugs cost and the amount of savings you will get out of this moldPros: stays cool, cavity pin works greatCons: only molds one at a time

The Lyman Slug Mold is a quality made product. I was able to use a spare set of Lee handles. After the mold gets up to temperature, it casts a wicked looking slug. I cant wait to load up a few and test their performance.

No handles, you have to buy handles separately. For the cost they should have been included. Pros: Nice size–makes a 1 1/8oz slug or 525 grain. Cons: No handles, you have to buy handles separately. For the cost they should have been included.

This mould drops shotgun slugs that look like overgrown air rifle pellets, and that's a good thing! These slugs are about .683" diameter and about .775" long and are easy to load because you put them in regular shotgun wads and fold crimp the shells (no silly roll crimp). The slugs as cast from wheelweights weigh about 520 grains. They shoot very well from my smoothbore 870 (tested at 7 and 22 yards)and I've read they will shoot better from a rifled barrel. For this mould you insert a steel plug (included with mould) into the base of the mould when pouring in the lead. When you open the mould, out pops beautiful slugs. Love this mould and highly recommend for anyone wanting heavier than average slugs (approx. 1 3/8 oz). I live in Alaska and want them for bear stoppers should the need arise.Pros: Lyman quality, heavier than average slug, very easy to loadCons: None

Received my Lyman mold on 6/17/21, great mold, cast good slugs after you get it hot. I have cast some test slugs and went to the range. they shot great but I will have to lower my load a little bit. The 525 slug with my load, recoil was just a little bit to much for me. getting older I guess. I will reload some more and go again, that is fun of reloading. All said and done. It was a great price, service and shipping. thank you. JROCK.
