The Magpul Hunter X-22 chassis is an ergonomic, full-featured stock for the ubiquitous Ruger 10/22 rifle. I have 3 of the Magpul X-22 rifle stocks for my 10/22's. Magpul has brought their ergonomics from their higher caliber rifles to the Ruger 10/22. So if you are familiar with Magpul products, then you know that you are getting a quality product with solid construction. Much more ergonomic than the Ruger stock. Not to rip on Ruger; the semi-automatic rimfire rifle has been the most popular for over 50 years. And now Magpul has brought current technology to the table. Adjustable length of pull with an ergonomic grip. Also has slots at the forend to attach anything on the M-LOK platform. Also conveniently has a spacer in the forend to accept either a bull or tapered barrel. You will not be disappointed. To repeat: I HAVE THREE on my three 10/22's.

I recently bought a custom 10/22 rifle that had been fitted with a beautiful laminated silhouette style stock. The rifle shot ok, but the stock had way too long a pull and too high a cheek piece. So I was fighting the stock every time I shot it. I purchased the Magpul Hunter X-22 stock to replace the laminated stock because it was adjustable. It's fairly plain looking but now it fits and the rifle shoots much tighter groups. Highly recommended!

I’m very satisfied with this stock! It’s the perfect upgrade to the 10/22. It would have been fantastic if it had of included the necessary QD sling mount(s) though; that’s my only real gripe. After spending $130+ on the stock alone, to also spend an additional $20-60 for sling mounts just sucks. I also purchased the low cheek riser kit and I’m glad I did as the riser that accompanied the stock was just a fuzzy too low for me to get a solid cheek weld. Overall I’m very happy with this product and look forward to using it for years to come. Side note as this was important for me when choosing a stock: the Hunter X-22 IS compatible with the Leapers/UTG Tactical Scout Slim Picatinny Rail. I absolutely loved the look of the rail and stock together but unfortunately cannot use the rail because of my scope (rail maxed my elevation up so I was forced to either get a 20 moa rail – or buy another scope…rail wins this time).

I got one of these stocks to upgrade my factory wood 10/22 stock. It is way more comfortable to shoot! The adjustable LOP and cheek weld are so nice. The M-loc up front is nice to add sling mounts and or bi pods or what ever else you want. I liked this stock so much that I bought another one for my other 10/22.

For the price, this stock cannot be beat. Its a very good value. Fit and finish is excellent and much more durable than i was expecting, also customization options make it so you can fit it to any shooter. I installed a bull barrel into this and used the reverse side of the barrel cradle and left the shims out which allows the barrel to float. I initially had issues getting the main screw into the threaded hole of the receiver but after careful inspection I noticed the receiver was not fully seated rearward. I recommend standing the stock on end resting on the buttstock and pushing the receiver down with force as you rotate it into place, if there is a gap and the screw does not fit nicely, repeat till it sits flush. This took me 3 attempts to achieve an acceptable gap width.
