Magpul Industries MOE Enhanced Trigger Guard Polymer for AR-15/M4
$13.56
The MOE (Magpul Original Equipment) Enhanced Trigger Guard is a polymer drop-in replacement for the AR15 / M4 weapons platform. This upgraded trigger guard is easily installed without the use of specialized tools, using three set screws to secure it to the lower receiver. This eliminates the need to install a roll pin with a hammer and punch and greatly reduces the chance of any damage to the receiver due to improper installation or out-of-spec receivers. The Enhanced Trigger Guard has an ergonomic and enlarged design to accommodate use with gloves or when shooting in cold environments and fills the annoying “gap” at the rear of the standard trigger guard. Also works well with most 7.62×51 AR platforms, but some custom fitting may be required. Good price and easy install. Taking the original Trigger Guard took longer than install. Ensure you have a good punch on hand to remove roll pin.

Good item. Fills the gap at the rear and opens up the trigger for a gloved hand, if necessary. This went on an older ArmaLite AR-10® from 1997. Perfect fit.

This is the best "enhanced" AR trigger guard. The edges of the standard aluminum milspec trigger guard can beat up un-gloved hands, especially when cold. The rounded polymer of this Magpul guard is gentler on the hand. Polymer is also less of a heat conductor, so it doesn't get cold (or hot) as easily as aluminum. Plus, the new Magpul "enhanced" guard is installed with three screws instead of a screw and a roll pin. Ham-handed "gunsmifs" have been known to break the trigger guard ears off when installing the old roll pins by hammering too hard. This new design is more idiot resistant.

Awesome fit and finish of any build, Magpul is the only way to go.

For the most part, I believe MAGPUL makes some good stuff. However, this is an/the exception. Using the 1/16" hex key to hand tighten the front and rear set screws is nothing but a joke. Don't worry about over tightening the set screw and damaging the Trigger Guard, you won't get that far. There are no threads in the Trigger Guard to assist in setting the set screws. Having the set screws make their own way into the 'plastic' Trigger Guard will not happen.MAGPUL needs to do one of two things…put threads in the Trigger Guard to assist with the setting of the set screws, or and better yet, go back to the roll pins!
