The MOE SL Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad is a direct replacement butt-pad for the MOE SL, MOE SL-S, UBR GEN2, MOE AK, Zhukov-S, and X-22 Backpacker stocks. Featuring the same non-slip ribbed texture as the stock MOE SL butt-pad, the thicker vented design provides enhanced user comfort as well as approximately 3/8in additional length of pull while adding less than 1 oz to the overall weight of the stock. The MOE SL Enhanced Butt-Pad is an evolution of the popular CTR Enhanced Butt-Pad, combining the durable materials of the CTR version with the updated design and function of the standard MOE SL Butt-Pad. An angled, serrated toe allows for easy mounting of the rifle, while a slight curve at the top ensures positive, comfortable seating on the shoulder during firing. The Magpul MOE SL Enhanced Buttpad adds to length of pull and provides some additional recoil absorption. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to do either (especially for those building a heavy-hitter like .458 SOCOM).

I put the .70 on my UBR gen2. It feels great for prolonged shoulder grinding. Coupled with a kynshot hydro buffer and Strike Industries flatwire spring. Then with a good muzzle device there is a huge difference on felt recoil between my other .308s.

This is a really tough looking butt pad. I have a pretty long reach and this butt pad gives my adjustable stock just enough more length to fit me. It will also absorb more recoil energy if fitted on larger caliber riffles, but I don’t notice the difference really on my .556 since it doesn’t have much recoil to start with.

I bought this to replace the existing butt "pad" on the MOE SL hoping to get a little more cushiness while firing the AK. The ribbed construction had me thinking, "this is probably pretty comfy." Amigos, this thing is firm! Like you can give it to your pooch for a chew toy firm. It does give a little, but only about 1/16". It's very well built like most Magpul products and was a snap to install. It will add a little bit to the length of pull (LOP), always a good thing with the AK rifle. However, if you are looking for some extra recoil protection, you might want to keep looking. There is another buttpad out there (I've seen it on one of Rob Skis AKs) that is a lot cushier, if that is what you need. If you plan to put it on an AR, you're gonna love it! This will work on the AK, but buyer beware. I recommend it as an upgrade to an AR or to add LOP, but not for recoil reduction.

If you're looking at this to soften recoil, consider the Limbsaver instead (10829). This pad will give you a little more length of pull, but it's about as stiff as the stock pad. The limbsaver one is much softer.

The MOE SL enhanced rubber buttpad is great if you need a little extra length of pull. The only downside is that the rubber is stiff so not much of an improvement over the stock rubber.
