Description

The Magpul PRS2 (Precision Rifle/Sniper) – G3 Model is a drop-in, precision-adjustable butt stock especially designed for the HK G3/91 rifle and its variants. Designed to offer the fine-tuned, customized feel of a precision target stock, the PRS2 is adjustable for both cheek riser height and length-of-pull without sacrificing the durability necessary to withstand the operational environment. Compared to common plastic fixed stocks, the PRS2 has a similar minimum LOP but can extend up to 1.25″ longer. Machined aluminum adjustment knobs feature positive-locking click detents to maintain position under recoil and allows easy, tool-less adjustments by simply rotating the knobs. Machined aluminum butt-plate and alloy steel adjustment shafts provide stability and strength to withstand severe impact conditions. Rubber butt-pad offers positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage for optimal accuracy even with body armor or modular gear. Stronger and heavier than most OEM stocks, the PRS2 also adds benefical weight to the rear of normally nose-heavy G3/91 rifles. This thing is nice. no longer do I have to drape my hand over the stock to get the proper eye relief on my optic. With that hand I can wrap it around to my shoulder cradling the base of the stock in my fold of my arm for stability. (Gee, it feels like they took that position into account when they designed it.)Aim up on an incline, or down into a valley, no longer spot on? A couple of clicks and you are right there again. All in all, this is another quality, well thought out product from Magpul.Only complaint, the top screw hole isn't threaded, and the original screw you thread in there is blunt, so thatwasn't so easy to do. I ended up using another screw to make the threads. Also, if you own a PTR, you'll probably have to order the big buffer bolt that goes on the back of the buffer.

Good fit and look but shoot it enough and the recoil will push the plastic stock out of the bracket. I watched the space between the stock and the mounting bracket getting larger with every box of ammo I fired. I finally had to pull the stock, push the bracket back in and re-embed the screws with steel epoxy. And this is after I sent stock I purchased back for a replacement so it is a design flaw. Haven’t shot the fixed one yet. An HK PSG1 stock is over $1000 so I’m try’s to make this one work.

As expecive as this is. The fit and finish are great. However it instructions and fasteners are incomplete. This will fit a PTR series but they don't come with the large 6mm x 1.0 50mm Allen screw to secure the buffer to the main body. This isn't in the instructions and isn't supplied in the kit. I also had to get a 30mm tapered shoulder screw as the one supplied in the kit only had about 2 turns into the plastic. After waiting so long to Bite the bullet and wait for the price to come down I am disappointed in the purchase. I think I should've got the Spuhr stock. The adjustability for optics are impressive and I'm sure I will come around. But 7 trips to 7 different hardware stores and ultimately buying a flanged bolt, cutting the flange and flats off, and cutting a screwdriver slot in it to finally secure it to the rifle. I think they could've done a better job for the price.

The scope om my HK91 is too high, I can't rest my cheek on the factory stock with the HK mount. I priced a factory PSG1 stock (WOW) and found MAGPUL made a stock that was MUCH cheaper.- If you get one you need to pull the furniture on your standard stock and install it on the MAGPUL stock. Check out YOUTUBE for great video's on how to do this! All the parts fit tight,I needed a vice,an emery board & some lube to do this along with basic hand tools, I worked slowly and very carefully and finished in about 2 hours. It's worth it to get the proper scope weld on this rifle.

I bought this stock for my Hk SR9T and loved it ! It allows you to pull your scope off and adjust it for open sites and back again with ease. The problem is one of the mounting bolts (about 3/16") is long (2 1/2") and literally holds the entire back portion of the stock to the gun. Yes,, One bolt holds the stock on…and it's nut is connected to a 1/4" piece of plastic. Mine broke after a year and now the stock is junk!!! I can't believe Magpul would build something this cheap and then charge so much money for it. I'm so pissed, what a waste of money.
