Purchased this coat for my wife as a replacement for an old (10yrs!) NorthFace Metropolis. That old coat had no "issues" other than old styling and was getting worn around the edges… This coat was warmer by a good margin (according to my wife) and it had a better fit/feel. We ended up returning it after very few uses. (mild winter in Michigan and work-from home makes a warm coat less needed) Down started coming out all over. Not just where stitched, but in the middle of a "panel". In some cases, a shocking amount for not having a rip, tear or puncture.Whatever material the outer is made of is just not tight enough to hold in real down. I can't imagine it would hold up to active use.It is warm and good looking… but the example we had was not built for longevity
