Minelab Vanquish V8 Skidplate

The coupler with the fitted skidplate is the sole remaining part of an earlier generation Minelab Detector, the design of which resembles that of an aircraft carrier armour plate and is fitted to the like-new Vanquish V8. However the re-designed skidplate with its pre-drilled mounting holes ensures that the detector can be fitted with the new Minelab Detector Anchor (an optional accessory) and still keep a rock-solid hold on the ground when placed on top of an obstacle or other material that might deflect the skidplate. This new Skidplate is a step-up part of keeping the Detector attached to an obstacle or other material that might slip off during use. Some operators prefer to use their Detector with the Skidplate installed while others like the Defend NT, SR and F series use the Skidplate as a stand-alone ground-bed.
