first time I used this, I spilled some CLP. Wiped it off but left a stain. Next day, I was rebuilding the trigger on my Browning and punched a hole completely thru the mat. Now, after a dozen uses, it is torn to shreds and going to the garbage bin.

Apart from the size of the mat, this product is otherwise NFG — "No Flamin' Good" — and belongs in the trash can. Rubbish! Made in China for three cents then finds its way onto Optics Planet for nearly TWENTY BUCKS! Great margin for the seller, but a damaged work surface and firearm components for the buyer. Buyer BEWARE! Frankly, I have purchased several quality products from Optics Planet (OP), so I am a little surprised that such rubbish can be permitted onto the OP website. This experience begs the question: "doesn't OP perform a minimum of vetting of the products offered for sale on their site!?!?!" I would NOT use this product to line the bottom of a trash can!
