I have used a Pelican 1720 for several years, with my AR15. When I needed another case for my AR10, Pelican was my first choice. The V730 Vault has the space I needed for the new system with long range optics, and other range day accessories all in one case.

I’m old school special forces retired over 20 years ago. We used Pelican cases then and I use them now! Super tough cases! Ive had basement flooding issues in the past but no concern as the gun cases were sealed tightly and floating around!

I have one of my ARs set up with night vision scope and it would not fit in the case I originally ordered. Pelican recommends having any components an inch or more away from the side of the case which was not possible with the previous case. Optics Planet helped me with a return and exchange and in just a couple of weeks I was back in business. The case is solid and any firearms you place in it will be well protected. I would advise that you take great care when cutting the foam for your components. Don't get too detailed when marking out the components. You don't need to draw around every nook and cranny. And by all means be careful with the cutting. Keep you blade at 90 degrees at all times or you'll be ordering some replacement foam (which Pelican has readily available). If you are setting it up for multiple ARs it has more than enough space unless you have a big honking optic (like me) and you don't want it off and place it in its own area.

It’s big enough to fit 2 AR’s with scopes. It’s very heavy duty for those range days and meets all my expectations in quality! Definitely buying more !

The Pelican V730 is by far the best case I have ever owned, It is built like a tank and has plenty of room for 2 weapons and all the accessories you could want to carry!!! Magpul also makes an organizer for the V730 that makes this the best case around (for the price) and keeps everything nice and snug! The only drawback is the weight, the V730 by itself is not light but when loaded with 2 weapons and ammo plus anything else you want to stick in there, it can be a chore to carry around. I also like the locking mechanisms, they are very solid… add 2 good padlocks for security (if needed) and you have a case that Fort Knox would be proud of!!!
