Got this as a gift for my son who lives in florida, but travels up here to iowa to hunt deer, pheasant, geese and ducks. Even though we have plenty of firearms up here that he could use, he prefers to bring at least two of his own. He is very impressed with the Pelican V800 and is confident his guns will be well protected from the rigors of airline travel.

If you need a case that can fit 2 ARs and possibly a pistol or two plus mags. This is your case. It’s pretty big but that’s what I wanted. I can either put one rifle plus mags and some gear or fit multiple ARs/bolt action/pistols and be ready to go. You have to cut out the foam to your specs when you get it. I recommend a automatic turkey carver. Worked great. This case has handles or wheels. Awesome case and I’m definitely going to be getting more pelican products in the future. Optics planet is always amazing. Ships next day if in stock.

I bought the v800 to fly internationally with two scopes rifles. When it arrived, I’ll admit I thought I would have problems checking it with airlines. Those concerns were unfounded. I have now flown with the case on a couple different airlines and none bat an eye at the dimensions. The case also weighs less than 25 pounds, so it’s easy to stay under 50pounds total. There’s a ton of room- 2 scoped rifles, knives, ear pro, binos. I could have put shooting sticks in there too.

this case fits 2 precision rifles perfectly. i put my Ashbury 6.5 creedmoor and Ruger Hawkeye LRT 300 win mag in this and still have room for other goodies. I recommend using an electric fillet knife to cut the foam once you trace out your guns and equipment.

I wasn't really planning to write a review for this case as it's a case. However, I recently had a traumatic experience with mine and made me grateful I purchased it (I have two of them).I was leaving the range with my brother and had the rifle case thrown in the bed of the truck. I usually secure things down but have never had an issue and figured it would be fine. Something happened where the tailgate popped open (I think on the giant pothole we hit a few blocks before) and the case slid out the back of the truck onto the highway. Recovered the case and there was very little damage to the case and the two rifles inside were completely unharmed. No one hit it or drove over it fortunately, but still a testament to how durable these cases are. If this can slide across the highway at 30+ mph after falling out of a truck bed, show very little damage, and protect the contents, consider me sold on sticking with Pelican for life.

I recently bought this case for a hunting trip to west Texas. I needed something heavy duty and the ability to bring 2 guns in 1 case.Definitely gets the job done.
