Works good and saves your thumbs and finger strength. Although an older person with not a lot of arm strength may have a problem pushing the bullets into.the mag. Also had a problem with different mags not lining up the same with the deck the bullets ride on and 30+rounds going flying. Overall good product. I personally can load a mag just as fast with my hands but its a pain on my hands. WAIT FOR A SALE. Optics planet was so kind to raise the price for their "anniversary sale" …..so with the sale discount you still pay more….fancy that.

First mag I tried was an AR pmag and it was rough at first, a few rounds would go in and then jam up or pop out, then I tried a steel AK mag and it went better, by third mag I was flying through a dozen mags of all different brands in just a few minutes, it takes practice but once you get it figured out this thing is amazing!your grip on the AR pmag matters, they don't seat as securely as AK makes. I noticed with AR pmags you have to hold the mag at just the right angle and firmly while loading, with AK mags make sure to be on a level surface, the rounds slide forward as you load them and the tip jams up in the mag easily. By even just sticking a thin book under the tray you can help with gravity and angle it so the rounds keep rearward inside the magazine. That helped me fly through mags with amazing speed!

Just opened this thing and ripped off 6 30rd AR mags with ease. Was surprised it didn’t take as much force as I’d expected. The only trick is you have to hold the mag in place. When you hold it in, its sort of locked it place…then just rip it.

This loader is a must have! It makes loading mags so easy! I have one for the house and one for the truck to go shooting with. If you don’t have one get this!! USA made also!! Which is always a plus to me.

Makes loading mags very fast and saves your thumbs, took me half the time to load all of my mags. The only thing is the gray paint rubs off easy, makes it hard to see markings.

First I have to say I am the patent holder for the Rapid magazine Loader, USPTO 8453366, and also 2 other patents.My design works on stripper clip ammo only and is intended for the military. As a civilian shooter that busy in bulk I though I would give this a try.It works. It could be smoother. Maybe with use it will free up a bit. It sure does give your thumb a rest and is faster to load 20-25 roudns.Those last 5 seem a bit difficult. But still, it is faster. It is lightweight and useful.I usually take a 500 rd can of ammo and drag handfuls onto the loader then arrange and load. You do need to hold the magazine. (though I might 3d print a solution to that.)Bottom line, it works. It is light weight, man packable, portable and useful.So pick one up.
