I have the other punch sets from Real Avid and they’re great, however this set, the Real Avid Accu-Punch Master Set has both stand type punches and the roll punches as well as any size you can think of and those sizes that you might not see that often.The case is perfect for organizing and storage of your punches.This set is great all on its own but with the other Real Avid armors kits makes a complete tool kit for anyone wanting to do gunsmithing or armors work DIY or for a busy gun store.Real Avid Accu-Punch Master Set completes my tool set.
Disappointed –
I was happy to receive the punches and there is quite a few of them. It is a solid set of punches providing a wide variety of uses. That is why I purchased them. What I found when building out my AR lower was the roll pin punches themselves are too short when using them to install the bolt catch roll pin. The roll pin guides are perfect length which allowed starting the pin easy. Due the roll pin punches are short makes it difficult to get a straight strike and when you need to punch the roll pin back it's really difficult to get a straight hit and need to be careful not to spread the pin. What would make sense is to create either an extension similar roll pin guide design (tapered) that would either slide inside of the punch tool and change the O-rings to a simple rubber coating or make the punches as long as the roll pin guide tools. It isn't like you will need to use a sledgehammer to drive the pins but having that extra punch length helps a lot.

I am starting to train in gunsmithing, and i needed a good set of punches. This set has everything you will need for 99.9% of punch needs. The case seems robust and has to sliding locks, one on the top and one on the bottom. The punch's sit firmly in the case, and do not roll when set on a table. Very happy with this purchase.
