Originally purchased to put on a quick release system. The paddle was surprisingly conformable after opening the box. The Pro-Fit lock (feature) work well and secure the firearm well. There were multiple delays in shipping of Safariland items from the Optics Planet warehouse on items that were in stock.

I needed a holster for an IWI Jericho 941 PSL. As a long time Safariland user, I wanted a Safariland holster. Since they did not make a specific one for Jericho 941 PSL, I bought the 578 GLS Pro-Fit model. A sort of “one size fits all” type. I was really suprised at how well the holster fit my pistol with just a minor adjustment of the hex head screw. Once you get the correct adjustment, it stays in place.I have used this holster on my drop-leg set up, as well as with a MOLLE attachment on my plate carrier. My pistol has stayed secured and has not loosened up at all.I like the holster so much that I bought another Pro-Fit model that would fit my Canik TP9SF. It has held up just as well as the other. I thoroughly recommend them.

Great holster for 3 gun. Retention when you need it and easy quick draw. I never have to worry about the pistol falling out of the holster when I'm running on stages. It works perfectly with the Safariland ELS competition belt. It has an easy to work release button that does not slow my draw at all. I highly recommend this holster for those looking for good retention and ease of draw.

In the ever growing sea of holsters, It is nice to find one that is well made and comes with such a wide range of positive reviews. Everything seems to be getting fatter in my life, my dog, my boss and my mother-in-law so it is a pleasure to have a holster that is not wide. It does not print much at all, has a slim profile and holds the gun with a well tested GLS system I am pretty sure it is Latin for finger lock has a year, it was so second nature. I am sure my dog will recover from the drama of my draw test. The Promotion material says it can hold over 200 guns, I had just enough room for my Glock 19 and not much else. Then I realized it was not 200 all at once. That made more sense and helps explains the very low shipping charge that OP charges to ship this product. I ordered the one in Black with Black highlights and accents. You may not want to carry around that flashy but that is how I roll. They even sent me a matching black wrench for the gun. Talk about spoiling the customer. That Paddle is actually very comfortable. If you are ever up a creek, this is the paddle you will want. Easy to slip on and a well thought out hook makes it easy to remove the holster without looking like you are trying to dance to a Justin Beiber song.A good holster and at a great price Get one today

Short of slapping on a $15 nylon universal holster, finding a kydex/polymer holster that fits a wide array of different firearms is dang near impossible-until now that is.I was lucky enough to get one of the first models of this 578 GLS pro fit holster from Safariland and to be honest at first I was under impressed at the idea of it on paper. "Ok great, a holster that works with a bunch of different guns, why would I need that?"Fast forward a few months later and my viewpoint has done a total 180. I can't tell you how many times this holster has come in handy. I carry a Glock 19 every day and have on occasion used this holster to do just that. The retention is perfect, not too tight, not too loose but even if it wasn't, there's an easy to access adjustment that you can tighten/loosen with the gun on your hip to dial in that retention to "mhmm just right" levels.I think where this holster really shines is with someone that owns several handguns of roughly the same size and shape. This one holster will work with a wide range of common shape/size pistols like a Smith and Wesson SDVE 9. HK USP 9, Glock 19,23, HK VP9, and through my own trial and error my Beretta Full Size 92. Throw this holster on and it's up to you which pistol you feel like carrying that day or which gun you want on your side out in the woods or hunting.Another great idea for this holster is to have one as a backup for when you take a friend shooting or if you're training students in case what they bring is not so great or their holster goes down.True the old saying one size fits all is not the best when talking about guns and holsters, where the proper fit is ideal in A. getting that gun out when you need it and B. keeping it retained until you need it. All of the Pro-Fit holsters from Safariland have miraculously accomplished what I call a true "one size fit's most" and eliminated the need to buy a holster for every handgun you own.A company that cares more about creating an awesome product that will inevitably take money out of their future profits and keep the money in your pocket? A rare sight to see indeed…..

When you purchase a gun that has not been out on the market long you run into a real issue when trying to find a holster for it. I purchased a S&W M&P CORE Ported 9 mm and found that most of the holster manufacturers were not making a holster for it. I tried the Safariland 578 Pro Fit holster and love it.I am not sure how they do it, but with the turn of a few screws the holster looks, and feels like it was custom made for my gun. The package has both the belt and pancake holster options included. Normally I like a belt holster, but I will have to say that after trying the pancake option from Safariland it is really secure. Most of the other pancake holsters I would not use for fear of pulling out the holster with the gun. Not so with Safariland. The holster has a level 1 retention feature which I was not used to using. All of my other holsters have no retention. This was a concern at first, but I have found that the retention on the Safariland holster is very easy to use and has not hampered me in the drawing of my gun. I really do not know it is there. I think that having the retention is a good thing now and like that's it was a part of the holster. With everything said this is an excellent holster for the price. I would buy it again over a custom made holster.
