If you forget about the rear sight and just concentrate on the dot in the middle of the glass you won't miss a shot. I keep wanting to co-witness the dot with the rear sight which is really stupid on my part i guess it is a learning curve. I gave this four stars due to the delay of the dot coming on after it has been in the sleep mode. Sometimes you will need to shake it or push one of the intensity button to make the dot appear. Anyway,,,, at 75' i am hitting my 3" gong which is amazing for me.

I use this on my Sig 320 X-five for 3 gun competition and it makes a world of difference in my shooting. it's a sold unit and works extremely well, very robust. However, with the new Romeo 2 that just came out, I'd rather have something that has a protective lens shroud around the entire unit which prevents dirt and other stuff from getting on the lens when holstered. I was going to just by the Romeo 1, but was told only the Pro will fit on my X-five which is incorrect. If you have the early version of the X-Five produced before the X-five Legion came out, The Romeo 1 PRO WILL NOT FIT, only the Romeo 1 fill fit an earlier X-Five model by just a couple mm. I had to mill out a bit of the receive to let the Pro fit, which means I can't put the adjustable rear sights on ever again. Also, the screws that came with the Pro did not fit my Sig x-five and these are not thread types that you can just get at a hardware store. Also, the metal shroud that comes with the pro WILL RUST. make sure you paint or oil up the shroud so it does not start rust pitting.

I bought this for my M18, mainly due to not needing a mounting plate. I am quite pleased with the product. It offers a wide window yet small profile. It's definitely easy to carry and not worry about printing.Side note: when inserting the battery, press it in before installing the cap. It will "snap" in place and make it really easy to screw the cap on.
