This is my default optic for when I want a red dot. There is nothing wrong with it. The glass is clear, the battery life is great, the shake awake technology is reliable, it's easy to use and it's durable.I really like the glass in this optic. It has no tint, it does not cause double vision when shooting with both eyes open, I never have issues with glare from sunlight, and the dot is small and crisp enough to do the job. I run this optic when I play airsoft, and I have never had any issues with it.I have also run this optic on shotguns, AKs, and ARs. The low mount that it comes with is ideal for mounting to AK platform rifles and shotguns like the Benelli M4. I have had no issues with zero shifts, even when I drop the optic. You would have to be a real optics snob to turn your nose up at this optic, especially at this price point.

Purchased a Henry Golden Boy 22LR rifle just to have a lever action rifle (don't plan to hunt small game with it). Found the standard sights difficult to see (I'm getting older) so decided to install a picatinny rail and red dot sight. Chose the Sig Romeo5 Red Dot as Optics Planet had it at a great price and I have a Romeo 5 on another rifle (also purchased from Optic Planet) and happy with it. Got a GREAT PRICE from Optics Planet, a discount coupon, and free shipping. What more could I ask for. Tracked the shipping and arrived a day earlier than estimated. Research indicates Optic Planet is the lowest price on a number of items and free shipping/discount coupons make their items even greater deals. Highly recommend them and will certainly use them in the future. A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER.

It has been surviving under a heavy barrage of full power 12 gauge loads in a light shotgun. It turns off when unused and turns on when the gun is raised. Rain hasn't been an issue while hunting. I lost the bikini cover but use a small neoprene cover it's fine. My version is not the OPMOD the photo is wrong.

After many weeks of searching the web, visiting gun shows and trips to retailers, I settled on the Sig Romeo 5X. I chose the red dot sight over other leading manufacturers of red dot sights for one main reason. Clarity. This was the only red dot sight in this price range that I did not see a red halo around the inside parameter of the sight tube. Not exactly sure what causes this annoyance, but when I'm focused on the red dot sight, I don't want to see a red halo floating in my sight picture. With the Rome 5X I got none of that. I also appreciate the fact that Sig switched the Rome 5X to a standard AAA battery. Replacing the battery is simply accomplished by removing a cap at the front of the sight. After installing this sight on my AR Platform, I co-witnessed with my buis and was zeroed in after several rounds. Hundreds of rounds later this sight is still performing to my expectations. Oh, did I mention how little it weighs?
