I was looking for a flashlight with a bright light, not too short and not too long and heavy ….this Streamlight Stinger HPL Flashlight fits the bill perfectly. the Stinger HPL has an extremely bright sharp light, it is rechargeable and fits in the hand nicely. I wish I had this light when I worked the road

I had been using both an older Stinger and Ultra Stinger. The new LED Stinger HPL makes the old Ultra Stinger look like a candle. It is super bright. I also like the brightness modes as the light is too bright for close work on the highest setting. Love it!

I really like Streamlight lights, because I have used them throughout my career in law enforcement of 30 years. The innovationand coming out with new and improved products really makes this company and its products will really good.

This is the light to get for your multipurpose duty/search light needs, has plenty of spill like flood, with a great far reaching spot. Lights up targets past a block. Great when you need to reach out and touch somebody with light. No regrets.

Having multiple other Streamlight flashlights I wanted to give the Stinger a try for work. As a Deputy I need a bright flashlight that can handle some abuse. I purchased the Stinger over 2 years ago and initially it worked as expected, but that didn't last long. After about 2 months the flashlight didn't stay bright and on occasion would stop working all together. Eventually the battery wouldn't hold a charge and I swapped to the second one. This didn't solve any of the problems and I just stopped using the light at work after only 5 months. It has now been a house light for the last 1.5+ years and recently the charger has stopped working. Having other flashlights from Streamlight I was expecting better, but this was a disappointment. I wanted to give the Stinger one star but when it did work it was a great light and took some abuse in my patrol car. I hope mine was just a lemon and this doesn't happen to others.
