  1. Dirk Murray

The TLR RM1 is a nice compact light I mounted on my AR. The Red Dot was icing on the cake in my decision to purchase this tactical light.

  2. Wease

I was looking for a budget friendly way to mount a light and laser on my SBR, and this really filled the role. I’ve had an abundance of experience with high end lights and lasers that take up a bunch of rail space, and dictate or complicate forward hand placement. This combo is compact, easy to activate without a pressure pad (I bought it with the pressure pad set up, however after mounting, I discovered it wasn’t needed as the unit is easily activated without it – again, less clutter on the rails) and provides plenty of light for the close quarters situations my rig is set up for. Using the green illumination setting on my dot scope, the contrast of the co-witnessed red laser makes target acquisition fast and sure. Bottom line – it does exactly what I need it to do, period. Streamlight, you’ve won me over again.

  3. What a bummer

TL;DR—–Light/laser = goodRemote Pressure Switch mounting = uh ohReview——My frustration with this light is the product option which includes the picatinny/1913 rail-mounted remote pressure switch. The light itself is good, and works as advertised. The mounts for attaching the pressure switch to a standard picatinny/1913 rail (two small black plastic holder clips) would not securely attach to my rails, but instead kept falling off. My rails are normal, and other accessories fit and are secure, but the mounting tabs that come with this light are, in my experience, complete junk. The pressure switch kit also includes an adhesive mounting option, but mounting a pressure switch with a cute little sticker seemed ghetto to me at best. How about a "Hello-Kitty" mounting option while we're at it? (hahaha)I recommend the light itself, particularly if you want to mount it on your 12-o-clock rail (the top of your rail). It'd be easy to activate with either hand using the push-button (not the remote pressure switch). If you want to mount a light to the side of your weapon, the push-button activation switch stuck out a bit too much to be comfortable for me (which is why I tried using the remote pressure switch). In the end, due to my particular setup, I returned the light and will try a different option.

Not too bad at all. It’s not an LE117, but works pretty good at dusk or night for a close running hog. A bit easier to track the darker it gets. Light is very bright even with red filter on.
